This is hilarious. Let blame Kiffin, Ga, Fl, Al and the tooth fairy. Let's not blame Fuller, shi,,y coach hires, poor recruiting and i am sure the lost could go on. Oh yeah... REFS. CJH is on the right track but if he was smart he would pull a Kiffin and go build a program that can't stop loving in the past. How can this environment be good for any coach or player. I still say that i hope recruits do not get on this forum. What a complete lack of taste. This isn't a Disney feel good movie. Its will take time to get back to where we want to be and what happened last night was a huge setback...

There isn’t a single administrator in the world who will defend throwing trash on the field.

Nor should they. You can’t act like that in public. College students should know better, not to mention adult humans. The officiating was the worst I’ve seen, and there needs to be a diving rule added. I have not read a recap yet, though, that didn’t lead with the behavior and mention Ole Miss “cramping” in passing.

When you show your arse, that becomes the story. Don’t matter what makes you lose your temper.

Side note, my Dad and I were counting the fratty tough guys getting picked out of the crowd and hauled off to the paddy wagon. Lost count at 8. They all looked scared.

I really get what your saying! I really do, but there comes a time that all of blame Lane BS has to be let go.

The bottom line is EVERY single sports reporter is only going to point the finger at our classless, redneck, trailer park mentality of our fan base. It was not a good look! A Bama fan can poison and kill a tree and it was pass over pretty quickly, but this will be with us for a long time.

**** the media. The media has and always will have a narrative they want to push. If they want to make us the bad guys, let’s be the bad Guys. The media is nothing but dirty smear merchants and I don’t know why anyone listens to them.

1. Scoop & score- taken back.
2. The “injuries”- I thought it was getting out of hand for both sides.
3. 4th down conversion- there was no extension whatsoever.
4. Debris on the field- just goes to show you can’t throw a temper tantrum just because you don’t get your way. To me, it looked like it was more students throwing stuff than fans. With that said, I’m not surprised because this new generation is filled with whiners. Whiners don’t win.
5. The mustard bottle- it proves to me the security at the gate had their head up their ass and not paying attention.

With all that said, I wouldn’t be the least surprised beer sales in the stadium will disappear after this. Always have been against it and this is why. That’s what tailgating is for.

Agree Allvol, no reason for the stupid a** fans that threw stuff. Ban them from games if there’s proof they threw something.

Should tread lightly over the next few days. They haven’t done this football program any favors with the handling of the never ending investigation and need to recognize they haven’t a clue what Lane Kiffin has done to this fanbase.

He is the iceberg that sank this ship and hasn’t missed an opportunity in twelve years to run this fanbase’s nose in it.

Then he brings his bs into our stadium with a game plan of unsportsmanlike flops all over the field and the fans reacted. Deservedly so.

Our “leadership” needs to read the room. They don’t have a clue what this fanbase has endured. And in an effort to keep their spots in the wine club, they can easily lose this fanbase. Frankly, they should be kissing the feet of the fans still showing up for this **** show of a program.
There isn’t any level of the university of Tennessee leadership should or will applaud this. It’s childish, unprofessional and bad sportsmanship.
If it happened at a little league game for your child you would condemn it. But here, it’s ok. It’s never ok PERIOD.

Alcohol being sold at Neyland is just trying to squeeze out another dollar for UTAD and after watching this mess for the past 15 years hell you need a beer/truly and a mask to cover your eyes and nose after watching the stinch over and over. But will give this year's teams and coaches credit they are trying.

The media said after the game it wasn't most fans. They did a good job reiterating "a few bad apples" theme

All of this.

The fans behavior was a culmination of everything happening in that game and the bad calls and frustration boiling over. In a fairly called game that we still lose I have zero doubt the fanbase doesn’t react the way they did.

Anybody blaming the fans and not the officials can gtfo. If the league doesn’t want this happening then they need to do something about the officiating and bias. If Plowman doesn’t want this to happen again she needs to have our backs. If White doesn’t want this to happen he needs to address the officiating with the front office.

I’m so sick of people blaming the damn fans for being frustrated with the incompetence and bias.

The refs were awful, and some of the fans acted like convicts. Facts. One should never cause the other.

Because you gotta get news from somewhere. Good rule of thumb is to believe half of what you read and none of what you hear.

Dealing with the media is kind of like dealing with the weather. You can’t control it, but you can prepare with proper planning. Unexpected events can lead to unexpected results. If the result is bad, it’s your preparation and reaction that’s to blame - not the uncontrollable.

A wise man once said “don’t get into a war of words with a fella who buys ink by the barrel.”

Nuanced arguments about officiating don’t push clicks. A near riot at a 100,000 seat college football stadium draws eyeballs like flies on a rib roast.

It's the fans that threw trash. End of story. Grow the he up and don't throw trash. End of story. It's not hard. It's immature. If you can't handle the losing part of sports, maybe you should move over to playing squid games.

While the "woke" might excuse violent tantrums in certain circumstances, we all know that throwing objects on the field is wrong.

I love seeing the passion of our players and fans on the rise. We both have to channel that in the right direction. Bad plays on the field hurt the entire team. Bad plays in the stands hurt the entire fan base.

The best thing to do now is to own it and clean up your own mess.

There needs to be some corrective consequences imposed. Restrict alcohol sales, move the student section, whatever needs to be done.

Tennessee has the BEST and MOST PASSIONATE fan base of ANY team in the country and it’s not even close. What we witnessed last night with102,455 people coming to watch a 4-2 team that hasn’t accomplished anything in 15 years, screaming at the top of our lungs would not have happened at any other school, Bama, UGA, Oklahoma, Penn State , anywhere, you name it. One of these days , our fans will get rewarded for their loyalty and passion. I truly believe Heupel is the bast offensive mind we have ever had at UT and if he can recruit, he will bring us back to being part of the elite once again. Now, when you add alcohol, 15 years of built up frustration, an antagonist snake like Kiffin , and piss poor officiating, some young fans are going to act like morons and do what they did. However, that is such a small fraction of our fan base and was mostly students in which 80% were inebriated. The other 95,000 fans were civil.
Can’t argue with a thing you said. Dead on. I don’t agree with throwing stuff but it was not a surprise with everything that went on. It took away from a really good game and a great individual performance by Corral. One of the best I’ve ever seen and I’ll give him credit for it.

I think it’s a similar mentality to the “woke” movement that’s manufacturing all the outrage. Virtue signaling on the internet so everyone knows I’m not ok with this! People are acting like we stormed the damn Capital Building. People got pissed at questionable officiating that decided a close game that would have been the biggest home win in a good while. They reacted out of anger. Big freaking deal. Spare me the indignation. This crap happens at sporting events every year.

Ah yes, the classless, trailer park fanbase that just showed the world what a big game should look like after 15 years of getting their hearts ripped out following the departure of the single largest manchild coach in college football. Yes, they are the problem.

You are the exact type of person that makes the exact type of tweet Plowman did. You’re more concerned with maintaining social status than you are defending the boys that are trying to repair the program that scumbag Kiffin destroyed.

You should be ashamed of yourself for partaking in that. Think about what you’re concerned about and ask why.
Lane had lots of help, try real hard and think about how this program got to this point, not just due to manchild

If they have to stop the game for 20 min, move students, and things like golf balls are being thrown; it is a big deal. This looks horrible from an optics standpoint nationally. Like it or not, you have to know your situation. We are the now lover team that shuffles through coaches, and has a trashy fanbase to boot.

If anyone should be ashamed, it’s you! Maybe you should learn how to read rather than spouting off your mouth (keyboard warrior), I never stated anything that concerned me or what I partake in. You don’t know the type of person I am and what I would do!

First of all, this is the only social media I partake in.
Lastly, the only thing that concerns me, is the state of my Vols.
