White History Month

if you want white person tv check out TruTV. Some of those shows make Hee Haw look educational

It's fairly well established that Deism and general ambivalence about Christianity was common with a sizable number of the forefathers. The founding of the country has by far its firmest roots in European liberalism and Enlightenment philosophy (read: rejection of Christianity in favor of reason).
You are either ignorant of the facts or intellectually dishonest.
Sorry, but milo is more acurately informed on this subject than you. Just one example, do some research on Thomas Jefferson.

I took your advice. Here is what I found.

My views on Christianity] are the result of a life of inquiry & reflection, and very different from that anti-Christian system imputed to me by those who know nothing of my opinions. To the corruptions of Christianity I am indeed opposed; but not to the genuine precepts of Jesus himself. I am a Christian, in the only sense he wished any one to be; sincerely attached to his doctrines, in preference to all others; ascribing to himself every human excellence; & believing he never claimed any other. - Thomas Jefferson

Tell me which one of us said Jefferson didn't call himself a Christian.

That doesn't mean our country was built based on Christian principles.

Or, that Jefferson actually was a christian. Reading a good biography puts a lot more light on the man than a random quote.

People are people.

People who make decisions based on the skin color of other people are morons.

People who make decisions based upon their own skin color and then want to gripe when others judge them by the same criteria are hypocrites.

People who treat other people as they themselves want to be treated are good people.

This was in response to your supposition that Jefferson was not a Christian and was not a response about his political or literary career.

I never said Jefferson didn't call himself a Christian in one instance. You are making that up. The argument isn't about whether or not he called himself a Christian one time. Please review the previous posts.

Cool story. Were you also aware that Thomas Jefferson rejected the divinity of Jesus, the Holy Trinity, and considered most of the New Testament to be false?

Keep that in mind, then re-read what you posted. In reality, with modern tongue, it goes more like "Jesus was a cool dude who had a lot of good ideas about how we should act and treat each other, but I don't believe he's the son God."

Pretty much how I remember him being.

Later in life Jefferson wrote a letter to a minister appologizing for not directly answering his question about faith sooner.

In the letter Jefferson made a confession of Cristian faith that is a thousand times more convincing than anything I've ever heard Obama say.
