While the team was cutting down the nets...

That really is a good story dickens, and as you said, almost everyone on the team is a good person as well as being a rolemodel. A little different than our football team... but that's besides the point.

I'll definitely miss JaJuan. What I remember very fondly about him, among other things, was how he helped us light us Texas in the 2005-2006 season here in Austin. Don't know how many 3s he hit, but it was several.

He is a great ball player, no doubt. Almost a shame he had to play in Lofton's shadow, but on the same token, he's been very gracious about not being the spot light guy.

If Hat is getting bashed for calling a retiring south carolina coach mediocre, im gonna hate the battle that ensues around here when Philly retires and people call him mediocre

Wonder what it would be like to just enjoy a memorable moment in Tennessee sports without someone throwing out disparaging statements that don't even pertain to the original subject or mood of the poster?

Nice story about JaJuan. He seems like a really solid young man. I hope he goes off in the tournament.

Does my heart good to hear that story....it wasn't that long ago I remember "tha juice" being the little kid seeking the autographs. Jajuan has came a long way. I saw him out at the store the other night and with only a wink and that broad smile he expressed how far he has really come.

That was awesome of Jajuan to do that for the kid...Shows that young man was raised right...and for UT and Pearl to give Odom a gift and for the crowd to show appreciation for his accomplishments..When I see and hear about stuff like that, It makes me proud to be a Tennessee VOL!

At the UK-Tenn game at Rupp he posed with a Tenn fan during warmups then let the guy shoot. It was him or Tyler Smith, one of the 15 Smiths you got. I turned to my father and said, "I don't like Tennessee, but that's a kid who has class and appreciate what he has."

What exactly did UT give Odom? UK gave him a Chair with his name and other stuff on it. Seen him before the game and is a great guy, really knows his BBALL.

Something else that was class today. Right before the game, Pearl and Hamilton presented Dave Odom with a gift commemorating his final SEC regular season game. The entire crowd gave Odom a standing O. Very classy.

I know a guy who works for South Carolina who thought there was no way that UT would recognize Odom. I was happy to win that "bet." UT, UK, and UF were the only SEC schools who recognized him on his "farewell tour."
