JaJuan was posing for a picture for a little kid... Then he walked over and got an SEC champs hat and gave it to the kid. The kid started freaking out and JaJuan went "Shh..." and motioned like he didn't want the kid to tell anyone.

What a class guy. Glad I saw that.

This whole group of seniors makes it very easy for Vols fans to be extremely proud of them and the Volunteer basketball program.

Something else that was class today. Right before the game, Pearl and Hamilton presented Dave Odom with a gift commemorating his final SEC regular season game. The entire crowd gave Odom a standing O. Very classy.

Yes. That was a very class move by the UT Atheletic Dept and Bruce.

JaJuan's mother was sitting almost directly behind me during the game. I turned to her at the end and told her that her son was awesome.

I hate Odom leaving. South Carolina might hire a competent coach now.

He's just saying out loud what many people were thinking and snickering about in TBA. I know my friend and I made comments to that effect as well. It is what it is. No personal ill will or anything.

Artificially nice, to the point of being untruthful? No.

The man is retiring. No matter what you think of him he's been around a long time and many people like him. Were you not taught that if you can't say anything nice then keep you hole shut?

This thread was about JaJuan not Odom. Take it to another thread. Juanny love only here.

I saw JaJuan during the Ut-UGA football game this year, I guess showing some recruits around ( one that sticks out was a really tall white guy, Jurick mabye???) and plenty of people were asking for pictures and autographs and you could tell that he was truly enjoying giving them and always said yes... seemed genuinely nice.

Probably not. There's at least an even money chance he's going to work for his benefactor, Terry Holland, at East Carolina. So, what he really is doesn't match the quaint picture you're painting. He's just a mediocre coach who has cashed a bunch of big paychecks on the backs and memories of Rodney Rogers, Randoplh Childress, and Tim Duncan. South Carolina fired a much better coach to hire Odom.

Take that odom talk to another thread.

Thanks for the mentioning what you saw Dickens. J.Smith has always been one of my favorite players.

I saw him at copper cellar after the game with tyler smith. I called him over and he sat in my booth with me for a couple of minutes and talked. Great guy!
