I saw Bruce Pearl in Alumni Hall. I wanted to say something to him like maybe just a "thank you", but I got totally star struck and just stood there and stared at him. Is he the type of guy who likes being talked to by fans or would he rather just be left alone while in public? Also, the funny thing was that he was buying a "Bruce Pearl is my homeboy" shirt for someone.

Had you approached him, he would have grabbed your throat and choked you until blood came out your eye sockets.

I think it depends on how 'hot' you are.

He enjoys talking to fans. He loves associating with those that continue to support and make his program thrive. Bruce is one hell of a guy, and I have been lucky to talk to him on several occasions.

Bruce is my boy. Every time I have seen him he has taken time to talk to fans, me included.

Do NOT approach him, whatever you do. And do not make eye contact...that would be bad.

I've spoken to him at some football games (SEC Championship game, Auburn game) and he's always been great.

I wouldn't talk to him if he were out at dinner or something, but if he's just out and about, and it wouldn't be interrupting a conversation/phone call/what not, I'd say he'd be happy to take a minute or so to chat.

My last year at UT was his first year. I can still remember him standing on chairs and yelling at the students. I've met him multiple times, and you will not meet a more personable guy. His attitude towards fans makes him very approachable, so next time shake his hand, get an autograph, and talk about how great you think the basketball team is!

Not your fault. Bruce has the power to hypnotize with a glance, much like the deadly giant python.
