I think 2003 and 2004 would be the only teams from that time period to give the current team a decent game.

2012 team would beat 05, 06, 08, and 2010 teams by at least 2 TDs, IMO. 07 and 09 teams would be a great matchup, but I think the depth and talent is greater now than it has been since the early 00s.

And just for fun, I think the 98 and 01 squads would win the NC this year.

The 2006 team with Ainge at the top of his game under Cutcliffe, Meachem and the rest would beat this team like a drum.

Impossible to know for sure right now, but the 03,04,05,06,07,08 teams were more talented imo.. even though 05,08 sucked, talent wasn't the issue

Yeah, if Ainge doesn't get hurt, we probably go to a BCS game in 06.

I felt it was a bit more "if ainge, Coker, and foster don't all get hurt at the same time, we could have gone to a BCS game," but yeah, similar sentiment.

IMO, the last great team we've had. We just couldn't catch all the breaks that season.

More like we seemingly caught a bunch of bad ones

Last 10 years as in 2002-2011

Last decade as in the 2000-2009

A decade is 10 years. I think you're a bit caught up in semantics. You can choose to classify decades as the 80s, 90s, etc. To say over the past decade would be correctly defined as over the last 10 years.

It's fine. Didn't mean to stir things up. Carry on

Losing Ainge to injury in two of our biggest games and the called back touchdown against Florida are the big ones. We would have beaten LSU without Ainge. Arkansas would have been a tossup. We would have been looking at a 10-2,11-1 finish and a potential BCS birth.
