Which two teams to play in SECCG

A long shot. For one thing, its Death Valley and LSU is supposed ot be strong this year, though I confess I don't know them well at all. Second, Florida's game prior to that will be a rough and tumble with Auburn, whereas LSU tunes up and soothes any aching muscles with a laugher against Tulane the weekend before.

Florida has a lot of unknowns. I do think that the offense will score plenty, but the young defense, responding in that environment ....??

If the Gators do win there, then its a pretty good damn sign, I'll say that.
Will TT pull out the jump shot on LSU at home? I think this is key:yes:

-Florida
-UT
-UGA
-South Carolina will be better than Alabama
-Auburn
-Arkansas MAYBE and only bc of McFadden but that might not be enough to save them.

Those teams won't suck. You're welcome.

So LSU is going to suck? I knew we could find some common ground. :good!:

Two most likely in the West- Aub and LSU
Two most likely in the East- UT and USC

I think UT will beat UF early and think UF stands very little chance of beating LSU at home. Doubtful they escape USC, UGA, UK, and Aub without another loss.

My only knock against LSU is coaching. They are by far the most talented team in the conference.

Fisher's departure isn't good either.

and I see at least four loses, and possibly others. Bama fans are going to be disappointed. Ole St. Nick isn't quite that--a saint. He can't work magic quite like "Tebow Norris" can.:birgits_giggle:

He is a good coach, but keep in mind he doesn't have a TON to work with like his first year at LSU..and we all remember that wasn't a phenominal year.

Fact is, the SEC may be at its best ever in it's history. Top to bottom. Talent levels virtually everywhere make this a season that should be truly memorable...

3 out of 4 of those games are at home. Me thinks he doesn't lose all 4.

Like hell it isn't! Its about time we got a OC who wasn't so predictable.

Don't get me wrong, Jimbo was a good coach, but I am excited about the new opportunities that will come with Crowton:

Crowton served as the offensive coordinator for two years with the Chicago Bears. In his first year with the Bears in 1999, Crowton’s offense ranked No. 3 in the NFL in passing with an average of 258.5 yards per game. That year, the Bears established a franchise record with 4,136 passing yards behind a trio of quarterbacks.

Did you watch oregon last year? He decided to throw it 30 times a game despite having 2 first round draft picks at RB, a veteran offensive line, and a QB that regurally threw 3 picks a game. Let's just say the oregon fans didn't cry when he took the LSU job.

I grant you that we might lose to Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn and maybe even Florida State. But Nick will not lose to Les "TightHat" Miles even if he has to die trying. Remember, Nick recruited most of your players and he knows their tendencies and weaknesses and will use it against them.

Serious question.

Which two teams do y'all see playing in Atlanta in December, and how many losses and to who for each one?

Honestly, I'm a little on the fence with the east teams. I want to say Florida, but the east teams are a little more of a toss-up this year with none really looking MUCH better than the other (UGA, Florida, UT.)

For the west I think it will be LSU. This isn't just because I am a fan, but I think we are the most loaded team with a coach that gets better by year (spare the "stupid Les" jokes.) It can't be denied that with more experience in the SEC he is becoming a better coach. I could see Auburn and Florida giving us trouble, but we have home-field advantage and neither of the two are complete power houses this year.

I'm not worried about Bama, but it will be a huge game with all the build up surrounding the game..especially if LSU is still undefeated and Bama is having a less than stellar season (which is most probable.) I have no doubt that Saban will have his players fired up about tearing down the possible national championship contenders.

:)

The winner of the East vs. the winner of the West.:salute:

Disrespect for Miles aside, one should remember that every coach who played LSU last year would tell you that the week after that game was the toughest to bounce back from of the season. They are playing some physical football in Baton Rouge, and when you do that good things tend to happen.

With Bama right now, yes, little Nicki may die trying. At least his team may...

SEC title game. #3 Tennessee vs. #2 LSU. (12-0) vs. (12-0). Atlanta, Georgia. National title on the line. Opposite of 2001. Vols are underdogs. LSU fans have their national title tickets showing them to the cameras in shoaboating fashion. The Vols upset LSU! The Vols upset LSU! Pandomonium reigns. Pandomonium REIGNS! HAHA! T.E.N.N.E.S.S.E.E. is going to the BCS NAtional title game! I am dead serious folks, THIS IS THE YEAR. THE CHIPS HAVE ALIGNED. A VERY EASY SCHEDULE AT THE END OF THE YEAR, A DOWN FLORIDA AND A NATIONAL TITLE! Go ahead and laugh, but we will see in 46 FREAKING DAYS!

If I had to bet, I would bet on LSU vs. Tennessee this year. Tennessee has questions at WR and in the secondary, but many of the teams that Tennessee plays have many more questions then the Vols do.
