Which three players?

Aaron Douglas, Dennis Rogan (What a mistake he made declaring early for the NFL. I do not think he is on any team including any practice squads.)

I am glad Bryce Brown is gone. I hope the door did not hit him in the butt on the way out. I predict that you will never hear much from Bryce Brown again except for complaiing. He will be an average back at Kansas State, will not get a degree and will not play in the NFL which stands for Not For Long for him. He would have been beaten out by Tauren Poole this year since the playing field would have started off level. He was a Lane Kiffin hype player along with his agent (Oh!! I'm sorry adviser.)

when you only have one option it's an easy choice. I believe he's playing up north now but it was all he could do

based on what? Never heard he had issues in the classroom. Just because he may not have success on the field doesn't mean his life will be a failure

If this thread had been started by anyone but Freak, I wonder how many people would have responded with something like, "jeez, they are gone, get over it" or "I don't want em back".

Just sayin...Hypothetical tend to not go over well for some reason.

You bashing my thread? :)

I think it's interesting discussion, but you make a fair point that some don't tend to like hypotheticals.

I've narrowed it down to five:

Peyton Manning
Ellix Wilson
Nevin McKenzie
Inky Johnson
Shawn Bryson

Bryson is awesome, but you've got to give some love to Kevin Cooper this year. He could easily be our best offensive player right now by a mile.

I'm choosing my list with three criteria: 1. still have eligibility remaining, 2. didn't go pro, 3. were actually on campus

Donald Langley
Aaron Douglas
BJ Coleman

Honorable mentions: Lennon Creer and Ahmad Paige (we need another veteran receiver and Creer might have become the returner we need - possibly even #2 back. Is he returning kicks for LA Tech?)

That's a solid list. I've narrowed it down to 6:

Victor McClure
Alex Walls
Greg Jones
Inquoris Johnson
Nick Stephens
Antwan Stewart

Not to demean yours, but I like mine far better.

Using the same criteria as above mine are:
A Douglas
John Brown
BJ Coleman

I heard this discussion on the radio this morning and found it interesting.

Choose three players qho are no longer on the Vols' roster that you would like to have back, including players that left, were kicked off, or committed elsewhere due to a coaching change.

I didn't get to listen for long but Aaron Douglas and Tajh Boyd were mentioned right off the bat.

Donald Langley
Aaron Douglas
B.J. Coleman

Good lord that's hilarious. Aaron Douglas was the only one worth a crap. He'll be treated as such when he is re-recruited following his JUCO time.

Langley and Coleman over guys like Willis and Ambles and Michael Taylor and Chaz Green. That is, indeed, damn funny.

Right. Don't choose the guy starting at a BCS conference who was actually on campus vs recruits who haven't played a down of CFB and didn't meet my original criteria?

Does the phrase "fit team needs" mean anything or are you just a stargazer?

We need a guy that was moved to the OL because he was behind four of our current guys on the depth chart?

Brandon Willis doesn't fit the bill for DL depth?
Markeith Ambles doesn't fill our need for a talented playmaker? BTW, he has, in fact, played a few downs in college football, albeit they weren't pretty, but he'll learn.
Michael Taylor doesn't fill our need for a more talented LB?
Chaz Green doesn't fill a hole on the offensive line?

Donald Langley couldn't beat out guys like Chase freakin' Nelson.

I'm not an astrologer. I eschew fables and duplicitous charlatans of all sorts.
