Which Team sold more tickets?

There better not be 10-15k empty seats. If there are, then people out there on the open market are charging WAY too much.

In all likely hood there will be a few thousand empties. That's just the way it is in this economy. Regarding the open market pricing, it's simply supply & demand. If the unsold seats are at the top of the dome, then lowers/ clubs could have value above face.

I think right now there are less than 1000 seats available, almost all of which are on the NC State side (still some 135$ club level corner seats on the UT side).

First I hate Bama

Second... As a cowboys fan... Saying that Jerry's world is the worst place to watch a game is pretty ignorant. I have been to the old Texas stadium, the new one, atl, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Carolina later this year, and all are good stadiums. Actually really liked the Titans layout.

Really..ignorant??? Does some one who has been to many stadiums like yourself and both cowboy stadiums ignorant in his personal view?? Get a dictionary before you comment. I told people that it's the worst stadium mainly if you don't get some of the best seats. Which is true. The screen is so large your eyes are like flies to light. It's tough to keep your eyes on the field.

Btw - the first season of the stadium I went to 6 games. 4 in a second tier suite and the other 2 on the 2nd tier or lower seats. I also was in a second tier suite for the NBA All-star game. Don't care to go back unless I have to. Now tell me my opinion is ignorant dumba**.

For goodness sake you can't walk around the stadium like others. So if you have friends on the other side of the stadium it's very tough if not impossible to meet up with them for whatever reason. Thats not a good thing.

This is my opinion and I know many in Dallas that have been there that agree with me.

On SportsTalk last week, Hyams said he had "just talked to the CFA Kickoff people" and that UT had sold almost all of their tickets, but NC St. still had a bunch unsold. He also said they were not expecting a sellout, but instead were expecting a crowd of roughly 60,000. That would leave 10-15k empty seats. Again, Hyams said this last week, so his info might actually be from mid-late July of 2008.

No doubt UT has a bigger following for football than NCSU. Plus, more people in my home state pull for UNC than NCSU; fact of life. However, another reason NCSU fans have not bought more tickets is because a Friday game is a little tougher logistically on NCSU, more so than the other 3 schools. Raleigh is where the largest concentration of NCSU fans reside in NC. Eastern NC has a high proportion of fans as well. Raleigh is close to a 7 hour drive. Both Knoxville and Nashville are significantly closer than Raleigh. Same for Auburn and Birmingham and the State of SC.

The Chick-fil-A Kick-off committee should have set the Clemson-Auburn game for Friday night and set the UT-NCSU game for Saturday night. State of AL and SC are closer and would have given fans in NC extra driving time. I know several NCSU fans who cannot make it due to kids being in school on Friday that would have made the trip. Plus, I have read some NCSU fans are ticked that our former AD agreed to cancel the 2 game series with UT for this game only for the Committee to move it from Saturday to Friday night. Oh well, I am not missing this game. My wife and I will be there, section 138. Looking forward to see the Pack play a SEC opponent

I am a student at UT and I got my tickets in mid July. For UT students they had said that they were sold out of student tickets. A couple of weeks ago they contacted NC State and we got a lot more tickets from them that their students hadn't bought. I would expect A LOT of Orange there friday night. Go Vols. :good!:

Students will be in section 107 then scattered throughout the 300 levels. I waited all night and was number 2 in line to get them and we were told that there were only 1,000 of the student tickets in the lower level

I can't imagine there being 10-15k empty. I wouldn't be surprised to see fans of clemson or the barn there. If I didn't have my wife with me I would go to that game on Saturday as well.

Wow man you're a hero haha. I got there at like 10 and my seats are in section 334 I believe. Still not bad seats for $35 though.
