I think this team is playing worse then the 05 team, at least the 05 team kept the score close against Alabama and Florida, and beat a ranked LSU team.

This team is worse than '05. '05 had some good moments, but never could put them together.

This is the worst offense I have ever seen from UT by about a mile. They have no good moments. It has regressed to the point where three plays and a punt constitutes a successful offensive posession.

This team is way worse than 2005. 2005 had a defense that was dominant at times and while the QB play in 2005 was erratic, the head case version of Ainge and weak arm of Clausen would be a huge upgrade over what we've got now.

We're worse than ourselves right now? Good God this is terrible news we're worse than I could've ever imagined. :p

This is not even close. Not only did the 05 team beat LSU at LSU if not for that fumble by Fleming(I think) against Bama we would have won that game also. The 05 team was in most of their games to the best of my memory but this team has already been blown out of 3 games.

I'm not sure about Ainge, but the OL plus Gerald Riggs and Arian Foster would be much more effective. Rick Clausen would absolutely be starting on this team.

What would our record be if we had '05 Ainge or Clausen? OH, nevermind...
we still have '08 O-line...

'08 is much worse in my opinion as well. But then again some of it might have to do with the fact that 2008 is a little fresher on our minds. I still think '05 team would handle the '08 team because the current team would have no chance of scoring offensively

I think GAVOL hit it right on. Jason Allen is approximately equal to Berry (slight edge to Berry b/c of playmaking potential), but other than that, the defense was better in almost every dimension. On the offensive side, there was at least the possibility of a sustained drive once a game or so.

If we had Clausen from '05 on this team we would have beaten UCLA and Auburn and we may have made the UGA game a little closer IMO.

Am i the only one that has voted '05?

Does nobody remember the special teams and offensive turnovers?

The 2005 special teams might have been worse, but we're turning the ball over now as bad or worse than 2005.
