Yeah but Arkansas is a wreck all over. The AD is retiring, Nutt ran off the QB that went 6-0 and the offensive coordinator and lost alot of the defense to the draft. Their awesome OL was hit with the 3 SR's leaving as well. Things do not bode well for Arky next year.

oh I agree. Also they don't have florida/tenn/LSU/georgia style depth, so you wonder if these new guys can come in and play right away.

You are correct...normally by that time of the year, most KY fans quit going to the games and there is a lot of orange. Even though I believe UT plays much better on the road as of late, like BIGORANGEINKY stated, we have flirted around with KY too damn much for me. Honestly after last year's game, I immediately began dreading playing them this year. Maybe it is more me dreading having to hear it from all my KY friends, but that game just scares me, regardless if it is at Commonwealth or Neyland. I believe a lot will depend on how their season goes up to that game also. As of late, KY plays teams tough through about 3 qrtrs before they fold. If they start putting 4 qrtrs together, I'm telling you, several teams may eat crow this year. Like I said, I hope I am wrong, though.

Well I think that Rich Brooks has a nice little pep talk for them before each game. Something along the lines of, "Some of you weren't even born the last time Kentucky beat Tennessee, now I don't know about you, but I think that's too damn long. Now are you gonna be the ones that change that?" ::Team screams yeah:: "Well let's go get em!" Year in and year out he probably says this, and I for one don't want that pep talk to end.

that's a long list of upset candidates........i'd hardly consider BAma, Ark, Cal "upset" in the traditional sense.....2 conf. teams, one a hated rival, the other beat us last year and played for the SEC title......yeah, those would be huge upsets.......

And Cal finished 2nd in the Pac 10 and took a beating in Knoxville, and still finished the season ranked in the top 25.......huge upset there, especially when it's at their house on the other side of the globe.

Their offense still worries me. Didn't they lose quite a bit on D, though?

Yes they did. Some really good lineman in Anderson, Utoh. The linebacker Olajagutu. I had hoped that our offense with Ainge would keep up with Arkansas, but he did not play and the arkansas lineman pushed us around. They lost some one the offensive side as well. The first game they played the snap to DMAC was us. If you noticed, the games after that they lost. Everyone will be looking for that. Additionally, the hired Dell from Dallas Conwboys back as OC. He is 12 - 42 when he was arkansas before. Nice to know Arkansas can replace the OC coach of the year in Malzahn with Dell. Good Call. Houston Nutt: "I called that play brutha"

Not to be corrective, but Mitch Mustain won 8. 8-0. not bad for a true freshman. So, they barely one against Mississippi State and South Carolina without him and lost to the rest.

IMO UT will be favored to beat Cal.

UT plays Bama and Arkansas in Knoxville so I think they will be favored to win those games as well.

Thats why I called them it an upset, UT will be a slight favorite to win.

IMO UT will be the favorite to win all the games on the schedule except Fl and GA.

Just because they are favored by a few points doesn't make it an upset. A good team losing to another good team is not an upset.

So that narrows the list to Southern Miss, Miss St, Kentucky and Vandy.

and ARk st and ULL.....those would all be upsets in my mind, at least in the traditional sense......the others, we may be favored in, so technically, yeah, they could be too......but you get the idea.

I would think that UT would be favored to win the UGA game ONLY because it is at home...however UGA usually beats us in Neyland, whereas we be them at Sanford.

i will have to go with georgia... they do usually beat us at Neyland like the guy above me said...hopefully we get the job done this year...

Given the current state of UT's team, I wouldn't really consider 4 of those games to be upsets if UT lost.

Any time we play Bamma, Georgia, Fla, ark it is hard to say we will win for sure. These games are usually tight.

On a preaseaon basis, I would consider Southern Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky, to be upsets if you lost to one of them. The others are on the same tier as UT and until the season is underway I don't think you can say losing to Alabama, for example, is an "upset."
