Which SEC team has had the most success in the last decade?

It seems like LSU is in a BCS or New Year's Day bowl every single year, plus a national championship a few years ago. Hard to go wrong with them.

In the last 10 years, how do you put Georgia ahead of us? We've got the same number of SEC titles and 1 National title to their none.

probably because since that natl title we've started being mediocre while georgia is improving alot

I agree with GAVol and you, Georgia has done nothing more than we have inthe past 10 years, however, on a down year they go beat VaTech in the Peach Bowl while we go 5-6.

I wasn't informed of the guidelines till after I posted and then they were cleared up so don't bash my post :good!:

I was basing it on the fact Georgia has the most SEC wins (only by 2 tho) in the past decade.

I wasn't bashing really your post in particular, just that it seemed that people were accepting without debate that UGA had been better in the past 10 years when it's very debateable.

UGA has 96 wins; 2 SEC titles, 3 SECCG appearances and a 5-5 head to head record with us.
We have 94 wins; 2 SEC titles, 4 SECCG appearances and a National title.

:eek:k:

It's really been close between Georgia/Florida/LSU/Tenn though - tough to tell

I would say as far as consistently good team year in and year out: UGA

UT, FLA, and LSU could also make good arguments

This is a joke, right?

Since the SEC went to a championship game in 1992, the University of Florida has won it 6 times, repeat 6 times. UT, LSU, and Alabama have won it just twice each, Auburn once, and Georgia once.

Florida has totally dominated the conference over that time frame, no question about it.

You are absolutely right. A decade is 15 years even though I had always thought it was 10.

I figured that the move to the divisions and a championship game was a solid and objective place to begin the comparison. Surprised you would jump on that since most of Alabama's success in just getting to the game was around '93-'96.
