If the new President at Vandy comes to his senses and hires an Athletic Director - Bobby Johnson. Sylvester Croom is probably tied for 1st.

I had completely forgotten about Nutt. Okla, you may be right about multiple firings.

i really don't think Bobby Johnson will get fired anytime soon considering it's Vandy and he doesn't have much to work with and he's teams are always gonna give it their all

The only reason I mentioned Johnson is that a lot of his future is going to depend on what happens with the new Vandy President. Although, it may be 2 years before any changes filtered down to him.

It should be Nutt and needs to be - but I really hope it's not Croom...

He was put in the worst coaching position possible for any coach at Mississippi State.. sure some of the great coaches would've made some improvement but now black coaches in CFB are going to take a hit here..

But if he can't make it work he can't make it work. Black white or whatever. If he does get let go I am sure it will be brought up. it's so annoying

While his seat has certainly been warmer in the past, the Wildcat faithful are expecting big things from the Cats this year. If they have a poor showing against the Cards I look for things to heat up in Lex again as well.

I can go with that. With Woodson and company, comparibly speaking, UK has as much or more to lose as anyone in hte expectations arena.

brooks has problems taking a team to the next level. He is good about turning horrible teams into mediocre ones, but mediocre to great isn't his forte.

Croom has had time to turn the program around. If there was a year for this turnaround to have happened, it would have been last season. The way its unfolding, Croom just doesn't seem to be SEC head coach material.

Although Nutt is in the running with a bad year, I personally think you can take your pick of your favorite Mississippi as to who is most likely to post on Monster.com after the season.

if fulmer an croom are both fired....should tn give croom a look

Even discounting all other reasons why this would be bad, please consider that Croom coached an SEC team to a loss against 1-AA Maine. This should forever disqualify him from coaching in the conference again.

The way its unfolding, Croom just doesn't seem to be SEC head coach material.

As evidenced, among a mountain of other things, by his loss to Maine.

He was put in the worst coaching position possible for any coach at Mississippi State.. .

And lost to MAINE. You can wish for more black coaching opportunities all you want, but when a guy takes over a major college program, goes 3-8, 3-8, 3-9 overall and 2-6, 1-7, 1-7 in the conference, never finishes above last in his division, and caps off his resume with probably the most embarrassing loss in SEC history, he probably isn't the standard bearer to lead a minority charge into college coaching.
