11 of 19 for 93 yards, 4.9 yards per pass, 2 turnovers 0 TDs

14 of 19 for 115 yards, 6.1 yards per pass, 2 turnovers 0 TDs

Sure he didn't rush for 68 yards, but lay off of Crompton. He did what he was asked to do. Is he the best QB in the world? Not by a long shot, but he's the best option we have and he's a Vol.

Go Vols.

His last int was 4th and 6 at the end and it wasnt absolutely terrible. His first one though, gosh just a little higher/farther....

This is a good post. The fans who talk trash to Crompton this week should be ashamed. He played UF on the road and managed the game. I know he struggles, but if that is the best option we have, people should be thankful that he plays instead of just giving up.

I agree Sab, he is our QB. Thats it, end of story. For better or worse in 09', he is what we have.

Good luck Jon, roll with it.

Great stat.

Teabow ran all over the place and his decision making was soooo much better. Tucked an ran at the perfect times unlike Crompton. Our defense did a fantastic job containing Teabow and ending his consecutive TD throw streak. We should be proud of our physical play. Very proud

Last week even Lane mentioned the offensive line not being on task for their job to be taken care of so Chumpton could get some time. I think that Jonathan actually thinks he is better than he is.

I thought Crompton played well. He did not give points to UF. He played smart. He did all he could.

Crompton didn't give them any points? He left the defensive on the field with no field position against that offensive. If i used that excuse" he did all he could" with that result i would get fired. Please be honest he is not what we need.

Crompton looked nervous as **** when he through that ball away that should have been intentional grounding. He is petrified of making another huge mistake. If he can EVER get settled again, he will do alright IMO. This game and Ohio coming up are great stepping stones for him.

Passing stats don't tell the story. Tebow picked up some huge first downs running it.

Tebow is overrated as a passer, but he is one helluva fullback.

Like comparing hamburger and Prime Rib. They both come from the same animal, but there is a distinct difference.

My biggest complaint about Jonathan's play is the throw away ball. He could have ran and got at least 4. We went for it on fourth anyway. 4th and 2 versus 4th and 6 would have been easier. He also missed some wide open plays again like Stocker for positive yards. I appreciate his efforts yesterday and he is our man. Bug dang i wish he would calm down and just play. :clapping:

Sure was. I was one of about 3 people on here supporting Crompton. Now, people can't jump on the bandwagon fast enough.
