was not listening to Basilio . The quote I posted of “Maurer says not true “ was in reference to Basilios “announcement “ that BM was entering the portal and BM’s almost immediate twitter post that you cited above. I hope he stays at least to provide depth @ the QB position although I do not know how he could compare the short leash that Pruitt keeps him on with the 100 miles long one that he gives JG and decide not to look elsewhere .

I see your point now and I suppose I was looking at it as too black and my white with no gray area . Looks like to me that most likely means that he is entering @ the end of the season and his tweet after the announcement on FOX sports was to silence the “he quit on his last team crowd “ Kind of strange but that’s par for the course with Vol football.

To be fair I’d probably throw JG out to the wolves next week too unless maybe Maurer gets healthy. Otherwise wait and make the switch after Bama if Maurer isn’t healthy start grooming Bailey after next week.

I don’t understand why I keep seeing BM and Bailey name...if anyone should see the writing on the wall it’s Shrout. Dude got one pass and was pulled after it was a pick. last season he was the #3 behind BM and only got in cuz he kept getting hurt. They basically said the spring/fall practicing was all thrown off because covid and BM had a injury, Shrout is certainly the odd man out of the Bunch. Pruitt himself said “Brian hasn’t practiced at all” meaning he’s not ready to play. If our head coach is saying JG is our best option to win games it’s goes to show you he really doesn’t want to play a healthy Shrout m, and BM would be the 2 if he was healthy. Period

He's not going anywhere.

Nor will Pruitt ever take him seriously.

Maurer will undoubtedly play this season at some point, but it won't matter. He doesn't want to play for Pruitt if I were a betting man.

At some point we are going to have to discuss Jim Chaney's part in yesterday. I mean, we had a touchdown drive where we ran the ball every play. We went straight down the field and scored. They could not stop us.

And did we have another drive like that? Ask Chaney.

Why didnt maurer play yesterday? If he was healthy then he is probably done here
