Tom Rathman? I hadn't heard that one. That'd be great. I know Kevin Cooper would like that.

Found it on the Oregeron thread:

Also mentioned Rathman, and Raider coaches that coached with him. No names past Rathman.

I think the info came from Hubbs.

Scott is the only one I think has a chance. I would like to see him move to TEs.

In the back of my head, i keep thinking that what kiffin is doing with these guys is totally unprofessional. At some point you have to cut the cord with these guys. i would hope he would cut these guys when the dead period begins and come out with our new staff before signing day and woo a couple big names late. i just dont really think its appropriate for these guys to be recruiting for us if kiffin has no intention of keeping them around. seems kind of sleazy

Didn't he say something like he cut the guys that he knew he had replacements for (i.e., Clawson, Chavis, etc.) and was essentially giving the others on the job interviews before deciding if he would retain them. If so posi, what is unprofessional or sleazy about that?

Cregg was one of three coaches who had worked with Kiffin before coming to the Raiders, spending a year together on the staff at Colorado State. Tight ends coach Kelly Skipper worked with Kiffin at Fresno State and special teams coach Brian Schneider was on the Colorado State staff with Kiffin.

From WTOP article

Watch for these two names to potentially surface soon.

Kelly Skipper=Jason Michael out

special teams coach Brian Schneider from the Raiders will become the rumored special teams coach.

Now, if Dave comes calling for his boy Latrell and Kiff gracefully lets him go, then you should expect Yogi Roth to enter the picture. Kiff better get going if that will be the plan because two things will happen here:

1. New Washington HC, Steve Sarkasian, is capable of taking a couple of coaches with him including him

2. He is offered as OC at USC.

I wanted to think he would keep one with the most positive impressions during the "interview process" but it looks like he is selecting his own guys after all.

I should have added NONE OF THE ABOVE.
