I'd say that Fulmer fits the mold better than Dooley or Kiffin.

As much as I liked Kiffin for the attention he brought to the program, I think he hated it here, and I think in the long run, Dooley will be the best choice. Fulmer lost his edge years before he got canned.

If those are the only three options, I'd have to pick Fulmer. But fortunately for Minnesota, they have more options than these three.

To build a program like Minnesota, you need a young guy with a lot of energy and the ability to invest a good number of years. That's not Phil.

If I were the AD at Minnesota, I'd go with Kiffin. He's the most recognizable name to kids who would be considering going there and he'd probably be able to start a decent program in the weak Big 10.

Fulmer would be 2nd place, and Dooley 3rd because he doesn't have very much experience or name recognition.
