Most success overall?

Most success in year one?

Most success recruiting?

Kind of an ambiguous term.

I love you and KB tho. Thats gotta count for something.

I'm honored.

Mullen huh? I have no hate for him at all, you think he's that good, or is it a lot due to him being at Florida?

IMHO, in the SEC East: Smart > Pruitt > Mullen > everybody else

And

In the SEC West: Saban > Fischer > everybody else

So, since I think Smart and Saban are going to make the best in the poll also rans for a few more years, I choose Pruitt. He is younger and hungrier than Jimbo and this is a waiting game right now.

I think Pruitt will. Why? Because he's surrounded himself with great coaches and staff. Also, he's a great coach that understands the coaching aspect of the game with technique and fundamentals. He understands the job and pressure that comes with being UT new head man. Pruitt understands the SEC landscape and what's needed to win at a high level. Lastly, he has Fulmer in his corner.

He and Fisher are most proven.

He walked into a better fit, imo. UF defense always good. Mullen puts his signature on the offense and they will be competitive. He has unknows and transition just like everyone else, but especially with UF recruiting, he will do very well, imo.

agreed, i took it as year one, so i picked mullen. it's an 8 win schedule for them. long game, i do think Pruitt has the opportunity to best the rest.....

Feel the same if mullen at UT and JP at UF?

i think UF has a better schedule for 2018 regardless.

i think Pruitt would do....very well....at a talent rich state school like UF. i think we'd be a perrennial 9 win team. Mullen isn't a grinder. he'd do 'fine' here, he is a good coach. but this place needs more than that.

we have that in Pruitt i think.

edit..it sucks to say it, but it is what it is, FL just has more talent than most, and it's an easier sell to recruits. one of the reasons mullen will do well (urban meyer well? don't think so) is he can put for the same effort in recruiting at FL that he did at MSU, and yield a much better result.

mullen couldn't do the recruiting thingi here well enough to get us over the top.

One of them will not last a decade. It'll be the one with more bite marks on their throat.

Agreed. Mullen has higher expectations and more pressure than JP. If both take years to get rolling, DM's seat wiil be far hotterthan JP's.

I'm going with Pruitt and Fisher. He's surrounded himself with an elite staff, has been groomed from day and is well respected amongst his peers. Aside from his father, he's coached with some of the elite Coach's at every level and stop. He was with Rush Propst, who is one of the most successful HS Coach's in my generation and at an Elite HS program in Hoover. Coached with Jimbo at FSU, Richt at GA and of course Saban at Ala. He's beloved by his players, his reputation as a recruiter and developer is among the elite. His Defense's have been good and made improvements every year at all of his coaching stops. You know he has to be hungry to win championships as a HC with all the ones he's been a part of at Hoover, FSU and Ala. That's something our last few hires haven't ever been a part of or shown the desire to do whatever it takes to get there. Then he has Fulmer at his disposal to help with anything he needs. He's also been given and will be given everything possible to be successful here. I think it's too soon to call Kirby an elite HC. Remember Gus Malzahn getting to the NC his first year and was 1 play from winning it. He's done very little since. I'll hold judgement on Kirby till he gets a roster full of his guys and not just had a great year with a loaded Senior and experienced team.

I'm the minority with Mullen. He had one yr that he finished above 500 in the SEC and that was with Dak as his QB for a few yrs. I just don't get the QB Guru tag some have put on him.Last yr Miss St was #116 in passing offense, even worse than Fla and TN. That was with a returning QB that some claim is the best QB in the conference, which I disagree with. In '16-'17 they were #97 in passing offense.Dak'slast 2 yrs they were top 30 but prior to that they were #50 and up. So outside of Prescott's 2 big yrs, Mullen's QB passing has been bad.

Jimbo should do well at A'M but it's a mystery why Coach's haven't been winning there. Their facilities are elite, have a very passionate fanbase and will spend any amount of moneu. Plus a fertile recruiting ground. It's just a matter of why kind of fit Jimbo is there and can he earn that huge a$$ contract?
