The one difference is the Oregon State fanbase does not expect to win or even compete with Ohio State.

Our fanbase on the other hand.......that's why the WVU may be tougher for Pruitt than the Ohio State game is for the Oregon State coach.

Agree.

Competition and talent wise, OSU is sorely outmatched. Of course, that could be said about any team they play.

Better coached perhaps, but still not the "dominate" team in the State.

The article is about which NEW P5 head coach will have the hardest first game. Last time I looked, Urbie is still head coach at Ohio State.

Reading is fundamental and all that.

I think you are confused. The thread says which NEW P5 coach. Meyer is not a new coach. A brand new HC going into Columbus for the first game is as difficult as it gets.

Even Butch was able to have us ready for our season opener every year. We had enough talent to overcome his coaching to get the win. This year, the coach will have to out coach the talent deficit. He's got all summer to prepare for West Virginia. We win a close one.
