Which game will be the pivotal game this season?

Yea, it is the game for sure. We are not NC relevant right now...fans crave a SEC title. Most likely that game needs to be won to get it. UF isn't going 8-5 again.

. . .Obviously the Florida, Georgia and Auburn games are large! I really think though, that the UCLA game right off the bat will be pivotal. . .if Crompton has a stellar outing and the Vols take care of the Bruins it will be a tremendous springboard for the season. If they lose and Crompton has a shaky start it could get ugly in a hurry! Florida plays Hawaii and Miami befor us so they could be a bit beaten up too! :banghead2: Georgia has South Carolina, Arizona State and Alabama before playing UT so they don't have an easy road either  Finally, Auburn plays LSU right before the Big Orange so they could be ripe for the picking! :pepper: The Vols just have to get off on the right foot. . .so UCLA is my pick!

Go Vols :superman:

Right now, Florida looks to be both your toughest game and your most important. On the road at Auburn is tough, to be sure, and so will UGA. But Florida is early in the season and with the new QB, it will be make or break.

Opening day is always pivotal. Come out against UCLA flat and that can get ugly in a hurry. That being said, losing to C.U.M and co. (again) could be crushing to a young team.

@ UGA is going to be the toughest game.

first, it's on the road
second, GA gets us after an off week. two weeks to prepare for a team that they should have no problems getting up for.
3rd, we'll be coming off games against UF and Auburn already...

the FL game is more important, but not tougher. it's at home, and we have an off week and UAB prior to.

I think its fair to say that both will be difficult and that both present unique challenges.

Florida is definitely the most important game on the schedule. We win that game, and we are definitely in the drivers seat. I also think the UGA game is important, but it is halfway through the season and we will be a little more prepared and know what to expect after seeing some good film of UGA against the likes of South Carolina, Arizona State, and Bama.

I don't think the Auburn game is as important because they are in the west and we don't have to worry about a tie breaker with them. It would be huge though to start 2-0 against arguably the 2 best teams in the conference.

The Florida game probably is the most pivotal game. If UT wins that one, the confidence gained could lead to a championship run. If they lose, then there's a big mental block to overcome early.

Speaking of mental blocks why are you a Brady fan:)

Until we beat florida (again) and CUM (for the first time) they are the most difficult test.

Georgia may be just as good, but the gators present huge psychological hurdles that the 'dawgs don't.

Exactly... half the problem over the years with the Gators has been mental. If they beat Florida, even if they lose one they're still in good shape. Every game after Florida becomes bigger and bigegr, however. It would be nice to make it to Atlanta withoout having to have somebody lose.
