I don't know this Jalen Reeves Maybin, but Jalen Meeves Raybin is a helluva LB
I am 28 and have been a Volunteer since I heard the roar of Neylan Standium while I was still in the womb. Around the age of 11 I started studying our football Team, Our roster and truly becoming a student of the game and the Volunteers. I keep up with players, X's and O's, Look at our opponents strengths and weaknesses, along with everything else a die hard fan does. I got to thinking last night about who does JRM remind me of since I started really studying the game. This name immediately came to my mind and I want Vol Nation to give me their thoughts on wich VFL JRM reminds them of the most on the field. My player comparison is Raynoch Thompson! One of my all time favorites as a kid growing up. Fluid, Fast, Vioelnt, Emotional Leader, and Flexible at the OLB position. Who does JRM reminds you of the most my fellow Vol Nation??
I am so glad it is Lerne Vundquist last year on CBS... I have thought he and Dary Ganielson have been a terrible jinx on the vols since I was a kid. The 3:30 CBS game has been bad news bears for the vols for a long time. I hope September 24th is a night game in our Sanctuary...I mean Neyland Stadium.
I honestly would say Al Wilson.
He is the team leader, is an in state guy, always seems to be around the football, makes big tackles, ect.
The only thing he lacks that Al did was all the turnovers it seemed Al was able to force that would win the game.
A lot of that legacy for Al though came in his final season which JRM still gets to play.
I won't be shocked if he's right up there next to Al after this season (if we do have a truly special year).
Raynoch, Westmoreland or Mayo. He may be better than any of those three.
