Which former Vol does Jalen Reeves-Maybin Remind you of the most?

Better version of Omar Gaither.

I would not place him over Burnett or Thompson right now. A strong senior season and I would say he is the best outside linebacker I can remember at Tennessee.

Hard to compare him to Wilson and Mayo, because I think of them as MLBs.

I am so glad it is Lerne Vundquist last year on CBS... I have thought he and Dary Ganielson have been a terrible jinx on the vols since I was a kid. The 3:30 CBS game has been bad news bears for the vols for a long time. I hope September 24th is a night game in our Sanctuary...I mean Neyland Stadium.

He reminds me of a hybrid between Dante Stallworth and Leonard Little. A fast'n strong playa who gonna hit somebody n then they dead.

Yes, Eddie Moore is a very good comparison.

My list for OLBs since I have been watching.

1. Thompson
2. Burnett
3. Maybin
4. Moore
5. Westmoreland
6. Gaither
7. Simon
8. McCoy
9. Maggitt
10. Karl

I consider Little more of a Defensive End or he would be number 1.

Also, under Chavis system guys would typically start OLB and convert to MLB as they became more seasoned. The guys I listed I consider OLBs. (Magitt is debatable)

The only thing he lacks that Al did was all the turnovers it seemed Al was able to force that would win the game.

A lot of that legacy for Al though came in his final season which JRM still gets to play.

I won't be shocked if he's right up there next to Al after this season (if we do have a truly special year).

Agree!!! He stayed his senior year and is both a leader has. Been a star since frosh year.

He may be, but his makeup resembles Westmoreland more than the other two, imo. Raynoch was one of, if not the fastest LB's to play in the SEC ever. He would knock your block off, but was behind the other 2 in being fundamentally sound.

Mayo and JRM are comparable in terms of playmaking ability, yet I think Mayo is a true MLB and JRM a true OLB...only difference imo..

Eddie was a safety/ rb combo. He played qb at times when qb was injured. Very similar game to JRM. Westmoreland and Moore same county and played at roughly same time in high school.
