Which brought more happiness?

I don't know 1998 helped us go on and win the championship and helped us beat our losing streak against the Gators, but 2004 was just amazing.

I don't remember number 1, so number 2.

If you don't include the rest of the season, just by what I know, I would say number 2 because the quick turn of events.

At the moment of each, #2. I remember both, but I was 11 freakin' years old for #1. I was just happy the orange team won. I was bouncing off walls for #2.

With you on that. I was 12 when we beat them in 98, and I was into football somewhat, but I was mostly just happy we won because my best friend was a Gator fan.

04 was a totally different story. Not only was I completely 100% Vol at that point, the power had been off for 3 or 4 days due to a hurricane, and I had been sick the whole week. To win that game, especially in that way, was just plain awesome.

not even close for me, #1. it had felt like forever since we beat UF until '98. i guess cause it had been about 5 years since UT had beat them. and i still remember the call from John Ward like it was yesterday. NO SIREE! NO SIREE!

I was 25 in '98 and 31 in '04, so I was as big a fan both years. '98 was big because we hadn't beaten Florida since '92. In '04, we had beaten Florida twice in the last 3 years. '04 was still huge, like every Florida win, but '98 was our first OT game ever, I think, and it was against Spurrier and a top 5 or 10 Gator team. I guess being at the '98 game vs. sitting on a couch in Chattanooga for the '04 game makes me biased, too.

In 2004, I had this jack*** younger Buckeye next to me pulling for Florida just to see me mad and he spent about 10 minutes laughing when Wilhoit missed the PAT. Seeing the 50 yarder get in pumped me up more than anything I think but the 2001 Florida game.

i hate people like that. when they just laugh at a game that is meaningless to them. they don't know how much we love football down here

I have the movie Destiny, on VHS though.

I'm trying to figure out how to transfer it over to DVD, so I can put it on Youtube.

It has the John Ward call, and some calls of the other 98games, and most of the 98 SEC Championship, as well as the 98 National Title game.

I guess karma has really caught up with that guy the past five months.
