Much closer that I would have thought, and it wasn't because Florida played badly. Tremendous effort. Just glad we took your best shot and withstood it.

Probably not going to hear from your Gator brethren that predicted a 60 point victory...thanks for being classy. Good luck the rest of the season! Go Vols!

The freshmen had a lot to do with the success of this game. I would like to think all of our coaches having a full recruiting season his winter will certainly increase our chance to start giving Florida a serious threat once again. Hopefully even move on past them in the future.

Question: has Florida's success hurt them in recruiting because they have been two deep at every position and the recruits have less chance of playing right away?

Basically, playing with one arm tied behind their back...a great recruiting victory! Well done, coaches! Look out Gators, enjoy it while you can.

Oh....might want to look over your shoulder at Miami taking some of those prized Fla recruits from the Gators!

Great game. I never like a loss, but I'll take that. And kudos to Crompton! He wasn't great, but he was adequate.

No way Florida goes undefeated. You are lucky your schedule is so weak. Florida is not that good. We played OK, not the best we can play. You guys played OK as well. Tebow looks slow, defense is good not great, and you have no playmakers on offense. We definitely exposed your weaknesses.

They looked great. I will gladley loose this game today. they showed what the future holds for d and o. they difference in this ganme was the qb. crompton played good but the pass was missing. if we had a qb that had the deep ball i think it would be a different game. all said they won, but enjoy the 1 win lead that going to change sooner than you think.

Was a good game - kinda disappointed with Lane's choice to go really conservative on that last drive and run the clock to 2 minutes and wait till 4th down to air it out... but honestly - that was probably our best shot - we don't have much to work with. Crompton threw a pick every time he threw it deep today.

I was confused by the WR reverse to Moore though - why give it to Denarius? We have guys that a lot more explosive than him.

I don't agree about the Crompton comment. The Vols could have won that game with a good QB.

Congrats Lawgator.... I had high hopes but the better team won today..... But as Coach Kiffin said at the end of the game "I can't hear you, Rocky Top is playing" and "We'll see em next year"......... GO VOLS

I sure hope this game gets the attention of a good QB that wants to lead a team with as much heart and promise as the vols.

Disagree, if we had a QB at all we could have won. That was all CLK. Crompton was so limited he couldn't F up.

I'm really proud of the way our VOLS played. It wasn't a blowout like EVERYONE predicted! We played great on both sides of the ball. Berry is definately the real deal! Tennessee and Florida showed great sportsmanship at the end of the game. Hold your head high VOLS, I thought you played a great game! ITS GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!!!

Guys I trust CLK enough to believe Nick Stephens is even worse than Crompton as shocking as that sounds.

Fulmer just screwed us by leaving us with no QBs.
