Whew...Hyams is roasting DaRick right now.

Bottom line Rogers and possibly Bray should have never been allowed to travel to Ky. There were problems and the seniors went to Dooley and he did nothing. Biggest mistake of his coaching career. Hopefully he can correct it. I totally supported Dooley, but he put players above the program. I am in support of Dooley, but after hearing what I heard I am worried. I am more upset with Dooley not correcting player issues than I am with the players themselves.

He is a sophomore, he is not supposed to be the leader. That was the job of the seniors, looks like they failed. The only attitude problem I have seen this year was when simms got stuck in, id have a problem with that too if I knew I wasn't gonna catch passes anymore. DaRick put up 1000 yards, he done what he was supposed to do, which was catch the ball and help move the offense. Yes he had drops and memory lapses, just remember the number 1000.

Not many on the team can claim they produced this year.

I agree he shouldn't have to be a leader yet. There weren't enough Srs on the offensive side to keep this in check. The defensive upperclassman had to focus on keeping the large # of underclassman in check, and they did a great job imo.

Poole was the only real upperclassman on the offensive side, and he didn't do it for whatever reason. Be it that he failed at it and/or gave up, or that it was way to much for him to handle on his own. Simms...well is Simms and is not a leader.

Hunter going down put Rogers in the spot light that he probably was wishing he had along, but Hunter always got it. He was second fiddle to him. Then hunter goes down, and now he is the top dog with NO true competition under him. Obvioulsy why his head got bigger. Now hopefully Hunter can come back to 100%, and bring him down a peg. Could now be a long shot, but if we could sign JUCO Patterson that would help out a lot too. With the other incoming freshman WRs like Croom, etc we will truly be stacked at WR.

We always complain about our lack of depth in staying in games. Now we see another negative of the lack of depth we have. No matter how much anyone wants to blame Dooley it goes back a LOOOONNNGGG time before him.

To be honest, it was the Vandy game.

Dooley's remarks about turning a corner after a hard fought win made me want to throwup.

If it's your second season at Tennessee and beating Vandy is considered turning a corner, your name had better be Robert R Neyland.

Then Lexington, Ky didn't help it either.

I really started getting alarmed in the second half of the Arkansas game. I thought we looked pitifully coached against Vandy, and UK was the death knell for my support.

USCe made me go from pissed at the season to pissed at the coaches.

Then, I realized the Vandy game is probably Dooley's biggest win in his career. It's the only time he's won as an underdog (the fact he was an underdog to Vandy should be enough) That's alarming

Why do so many adult members of the Knoxville media feel the need to attack 18-20 yr old kids on their radio shows? Does this happen in other college towns? Bothers me to say the least.

Yes. In Atlanta, we've had nonstop slagging of Isiah Crowell for unspecified attitude and entitlement issues.

I know Tyler better than anyone and if you don't think he played to win then you don't know what you have at qb. He won't make excuses but I will clear it up. He had the flu and slept thru thanksgiving and had an IV prior to the game at Kentucky. When was the last time any of you had an IV so you could go to work. He could have not played at all as sick as he was but he wanted to win more than you know and he thought he was the best option. He was already making plans for his 7 year old brother to get to come out. I hope you all remember how you treated Ty when you question why he doesn't feel comfortable around alot of you supposed vfl's. He would rather die then lose. Shame on those that question his heart. He is only human. Merry Christmas to the real vol fans.

I don't have problems believing that Bray has attitude problems, I can see that, but people who are sometimes a little too laid back can be misunderstood by someone who's tightly wound VERY EASILY. It happens a lot.

Wound-Too-Tight-Guy, maybe a senior at the end of a disappointing season ending his career on a bad note for example, hears Too-Laid-Back-Guy make a casual reference about something that he is not as concerned about and then Wound-Too-Tight-Guy flips out before Too-Laid-Back-Guy knows what even happened. I don't think that's all that unusual at all.

Interesting. If that's true then it wouldn't be fair to criticize Tyler, but it would certainly shine a bad light on a coaching staff that would let a QB who's that sick for that long play the whole game, especially when he obviously wasn't himself, without preparing a backup plan and going to it at some point.

It's not Tyler's job to Cutler his way out of playing when he doesn't feel good, it's the coaches job to intervene and make the best decision for all parties. It was obvious at least by halftime, if not sooner, that Bray wasn't himself and I can't believe that Worley or the SENIOR Simms were so unprepared that they wouldn't have been a better option at that point.

"Bray and Rogers told teammates that they did not want to play in a lower-tier bowl game"

per Hyam via josh Ward

Dont kill the messenger

Dooley should suspend them if it's true..that's bulll****, given that not going to a bowl game also meant giving up on the streak against KY

it is simple he is a cancer.. but some people on here have the Janzen Jackson syndrome and could care less how they are in the locker room or off the field as long as they are all americans on the field

what makes this clear? has anyone said anything bad about DR besides unnamed sources or messageboard posters? come on, grow up ... I hope all your kids get a better deal than this guys getting ... Foster and Crompton all over again...

I noticed a bad quality in the offensive team this year. The QB might make a bad throw; it happens. Then the QB might make a great throw and a WR might barely raise his hands or just let it go between his hands. So you get one play after another well executed by ten players, nullified by one player whiffing, one after the other. And that's with the
O-line allowing penetration by multiple defenders into the backfield, where a RB went no where. There were times in games when everybody was on. But most plays, at least one guy screwed up somewhere.

I should have thanked him for his service in my post as well. When he broke his hand in the GA game then came to the sideline saying "I broke my hand" got it taped and went back in says to me he's a gamer. THANK YOU TBRAY.

Sounds like a Gamer but also seems to make the point CDD should have played some Worley at least the 2nd half. Healthy vs. Unhealthy should trump guts and desire from a coachs view..GBO

Y'all are gonna keep on til you piss them off then they leave. Darick tweeted earlier that "there's no love from the people anymore". Who cares what they said? They're 18-19 yrs old...they're the superstars of the team. Sounds to me they wanna be better and play in the bigger games...nothing wrong there

You're are a serious homer, dude. Tyler Bray is about Tyler Bray. Not studying film, smoking dope all the time, refusing to do drills in practice. What kind of hero have you chosen? He played like crap versus Kentucky. He wasn't much better against UGA. Simms or Worley, especially Worley, could have done just as well last Saturday, probably better. But Bray's an immature kid. He pulled a Daniel Lincoln. I'm better at 50% than the next guy. That's a me first attitude, not a gamer. He thinks he's bigger than the program. The very best thing that can happen in the off-season is for Justin Worley to push Tyler so hard for the starting spot that Bray has to clean up his off-the-field issues, totally dedicate himself to mastering the offense, and get his poor attitude in check. We don't need a quarterback who openly disobeys (even mocks) his coaches when they ask him to do something in practice or a signal caller that can't be trusted to run the plays that are called for the team by the coaches in games. Most importantly, we don't need a quarterback who is one strike away from being dismissed due to marijuana. Ask USC East about that one. Also, see if you can cry me a river about having to battle a cold. I've worked every day for the last two weeks with the flu. It's life. Take some Mucinex and quit crying about it.

You got a link for all these "facts" you are spewing in this post? I don't think you had the flu, could I get a doctors note that says you did? He sleep with your girlfriend too? Good lord

Bray said he needed to get away from football for a while. Now he gets to go home to warm CA next week, instead of spending all December practicing in cold Knoxville. Perhaps he considers that more of a win than UK.

hmmm..funny you should mention this. I have an associate in LA that happens to be on the rose bowl committee who jokingly said to me that Coach Scumbag was tampering with bray to transfer to USC. he said it would give TB a season to heal up and improve. We laughed about it and moved on but after reading about all of the off the field issues, and then reading your post it reminded me of this conversation.
Didnt Pete Carrol serve up bray to kiffin after one of his camps?
I know I certainly wouldnt put this past kiffin to tamper and with the UT vs USC battle over transfers still recent...god i hope this WAS a joke
