You people are borderline dumb. At the time that Kiffinleft, it was 2-3 weeks before signing day and all of the prime coaching candidates were either taken or not leaving this late in the process.

You need to ask yourself why Fulmer wasn't fired after 2005.

I kind of think what was dumb was the knee jerk hire to save a couple of recruits. Just pile that in with a lot of dumb from the former AD and the clueless boosters that have helped it get to this point. Kippy would have been just fine to go 6-7 with while we looked for a suitable replacement.

In 2005 Fulmer still had the highest winning percentage in football. But anyway, lets bring back Majors......we could call him JoMa.

You also need to ask why Kiffen was hired in the first place. At that time Hamilton could have gotten a really good coach. The hire of Kiffen was what put us in this huge hole for Dooley to dig out of.

Bingo. I thought it was dumb to get Dooley since he was about the 5th choice. At that point we should have gone with Brown as an interium. Let's face it, the only reason Dooley is coach is because he's the only one who would take it, not because we really wanted him.

No, No, and NO. If you remember no coach wanted this mess. The money wasn't the problem. None of the "marquis" coaches wanted to taint their legacy with the total lack of talent and the schedule we were left with. At this point in time just saying TENNESSEE wasn't nearly enough. Just look at Muschamp. Everyone wanted him, but he chose Florida. I'm sure he assumed since it was Florida he could waltz in and win a championship. The bottom line is no one wanted this job! If we get rid of Dooley, someone may want it because there is a lot more talent than when Dooley showed up. Give the man time! :clapping:

Stop making excuses and using the youth card, I have followed UT for over 40 years and after 10 games you can't blame everything on youth. These kids are not coached well at all on the offensive line and we have no RB coach to work these kids the way it should be with a dedicated coach. If you fix those 2 things and can Chaney the sweep master you would see better results.

Dooley makes more than Sumlin. Calhoun, Patterson, Petterson. All those guys that said we couldnt get because we did not pay enough.

Its not the money its the BS that came with the UT job

It should have never been offered to him. Kippy Brown was no slouch as a recruiter, doubt he is any worse head coaching material. It was a panic and not Hamilton's decision alone. That was just stupid. They weren't losing all those players and i'd bet most would have come anyway.
Instead were stuck with a coach that couldn't get his head above water in the WAC. So we expect him to dominate in the SEC? Doesn't compute.

YOU ARE NOT A TRUE FAN ! A true fan would support our coach. Dooley has been here only 2 seasons and had nothing to work with and these games that we are playing a half is going to change. Have you heard of a thing called depth . We have freshmen and sophomores playing complete 4 quarters against other teams that subs more with more experience . When typing threads know what you are talking about before you type .

Playing # 1,2,9,8 and Uga that is ranked in top 15.that 2 teams in top 5 and 2 teams playing 2 teams in top 10 with out our starting qb and wr Which is sec best. How are we going to improve with 2nd teamers . Get real we are rebuilding in the best conference . I honesty believe we could have finished at least 8-4 with bray and hunter and people would still be *****ing.
