He was 55-47 at Washington St. which is in a conference that plays no defense. What makes you think he can win in SEC? It took one game for the SEC to figure out how to play defense against his offense. Don’t give me the crap that “when he gets his players”. Did he have his players his last year at Washington State (I will save you some trouble- he went 6-7). Add to that, he only averaged 32 points a game at Washington State so what makes you think his team would average more in the SEC. People love to talk about about how great he is but he is not as good as the legend.

Leach took over for a guy that had won 18% of his games at WSU. WSU is the worst job in the Pac 12. I dont think he would have won huge here but some context is in order when you throw out records...

Oregon State is worse, IMO. Mike Price won or shared a conference title twice at WSU. Winning there is not impossible. Paul Wulff just sucked.

Who knows. We’re in year 3 of Pruitt and don’t seem to be that much better than year 1 of Leach. Our common opponent beat us by more, and that was a home game for us vs a road game for them. Leach might not be a great coach, but at this point I don’t think you can rank Pruitt over him.
