Where were you when ole' Clint pulled this---V

Long time reader, first time poster. One of my favorite games. Had season tix under cover in south end zone. The wives left at halftime to the comfort of the Copper Cellar. We had not really rushed that well the whole game, but the wind just went out of Arkansas sails. Henry just gobbled up the yards and the rest is history. As we left the stadium I observed an Arkansas fan in the parking lot banging his head against one of the light standards as his girlfriend looked on in disbelief.

I was in my apartment In Jackson tn watching with a mich state fan. When arky got the ball back he kept saying "I still think you will win". I wanted to punch him. Honestly not sure why I was so mad at him for being positive. Then the fumble and I screamed and jumped off the couch over the coffee table and started clawing at the TV trying to help the boys recover the ball. My friend just sat ther calmly and said. "see told ya"

Glad I snagged your first post on my thread. This has been a relief for myself instead of reading another thread about supporting or not supporting Dooley, and his coaching decisions.

Isnt it crazy taht not one negative comment has come out...all the real VOL fans have spoken on this thread anyone else is just a poser.

Student Section F... I worked a concession stand for Air Force ROTC and watched the second half!!! Almost as great as the Florida game...

Walking out of Neyland Stadium, section P, with three of my friends, soaked to the bone. There was this arrogant hog fan wearing a hog hat waving at us as we were leaving saying "see you again in the championship game". Just as we got to the tunnel to leave the stadium the fumble happened and we stopped and watched the rest of the game from the section P tunnel.

When Tennessee scored that winning TD, the strangest thing happened: someone just a few feet away from me pulled out a "fatty" and started smoking it right there. I've heard of victory cigars after the Bama game, but a victory "doobee" after the Arkansas game?!

What a surreal moment.

BTW, the hog fan was nowhere to be seen when I looked up for him after that TD.

For me this was better than the Florida game. Not trying to argue just saying that although we beat Florida for the first time in a few years we could have possibly recovered from a loss that early and still played in the NC. If we would have lost to Arky, we would have been finished. For that reason I believe this one was the best of that year. The emotion of realizing that NC dreams were shattered when we lost (a foregone conclusion before the stumble and fumble) and then realizing that we were on the inside track to the NC after that win.

I do remember the goal posts coming down that year against Florida but for the life of me cant remember exactly where I was or what I as doing...so that prob plays a role in why I think this is the greatest game of that year for me, at least during the regular season.

Watching in my room at age 9. I didn't like to watch games with my parents when I was little. Mostly because I'd get pissy if UT lost.

15 yrs old. Watching game at my dads house, praying for this miracle to happen. Always thought it was so surreal.

section zz with my parents..... i was 11, wow the memories that season would bring... I'll never live them down and they will be with me for life.

In Charlotte, NC at my father's house thinking that the season although was going to be a good one....wasn't going to be the one we were hoping for and then BAM this play happened !!!! :dance2: :clapping: :good!: :peace2:
