I know we won and it don't matter, but I thought they were preferential to Nebraska, Barnet held a number of times, that PI call there was none. I saw them blatantly face masking on one play but no call

Fine? :no:Wow, I'll have what you were drinking. Barnett was held, clipped & grabbed ALL during the game, but nothing was called. The referee's name was "Motherfresh" or something, & he rivalled "T.V. Ted" Valentine for pandering to the camera.

Barnett was held but it seems the refs in the bowl games have been more lenient on calling it.

Wolf could have been ejected on his penalty in the 1st quarter had they really wanted to look at it. UT players have been ejected for less.

Overall, not horrible.

I watched DB almost exclusively every defensive play. He was held every play; and he was held to the point of penalty for holding on many. Two were holding him when he got the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Anyone know what he actually did to get that penalty?

They called it consistently both ways. All you can ask. That was one of the better officiated game we participated in this year. My only gripe was overturning the Jennings TD, but I haven't seen a replay. Mostly I like when Jennings scores TDs.

Nebraska's #68 was lined up well off the line of scrimmage most of the game yet they were never called for too many men in the backfield. The ref's were total crap!

One of our guys got held on a punt and was injured. I believe it was Moseley (sp?). Then I saw Butcher come out and get in the ear of the ref saying (lip reading) "See what happens when you don'the make those calls!" You could see what he said clear as day on t.v. When he said this he was pointing to our guy writhing in pain on the ground.

Butch clearly believed calls were not being made such as holding.

Nebraska definitely had trouble with our speed and you have to hold to make up the difference. If anyone thinks this was a well officiated game you have truly shown your stupidity about football and you should never be allowed to talk about football ever again.
