Unfortunately, I think this is correct. In fact I believe we lose bell to Bama. Won't be an elite class. Probably around 20th. Nice to see us in on these big dogs though.

This is a true statement, but alabubba is sending those guys who sat and waited their turn to high draft picks. They're HOT now, and just coming from from them probably raises their draft stock by a few points. Plus, Satan takes special interest in DB's as that was his area of expertise coming up the ranks. Not trying to be negative, just realistic. There's nobody who wants Bell to come to UT more than me. I hope his long time "love" for us tips the scales in our favor.

Look who Dooley locked down in the final few weeks, with almost no time to recruit.

Jones hasn't done anything that any competent coach and recruiter couldn't have done at Tennessee, IMO.

That we're "in it" with these kids is irrelevant if they sign elsewhere. If Jones gets half or more of that list like many of you are predicting, then that's a fantastic job. Just getting them to consider UT, not so much.

Personally, I expect us to get 1-2 of that list. I hope Jones proves me horribly wrong.

The fact that we're still in it with all these kids with Jones just coming on board speaks volumes about CBJ and his staff. The inroads they have made with recruits in this short amount of time is nothing short of astounding.

That or curiosity by the recruits. The ole check off list in case I missed something. CBJ needs to get this team competitive and the recruits will come.

Given the situation. Yes, fans, stadium, facilities, tradition, are all amazing. But guys we haven't been to a bowl in two years. I think breaking top 20 nationally recruiting and jumping to 6th or 7th in The SEC recruiting ranks would be amazing given he's only been here for a couple months. but we need CBJ to exceed expectations and land some of these guys and then follow that up by getting us to a bowl this year. All signs right now are telling me he is going too, and thank God because I am sick and tired of being irrelevant. IMO If we land Lawson, North, and Bell or Green I think It will show alot about how this staff can handle situations with their back against the wall.

although no one knows where any of these is going except some family and a coach or two the work ethic of the new head coach and what he expects from his staff tells me we will be in on many more 4 and 5 stars in the future. the failure of the last staff to work the local talent rests squarely on the shoulders of the last head coach. the kids are deciding much earlier now and its harder to change minds in the last month.
