Me and wifey going to our first game. Are there any sections to avoid? Money worth spending in certain sections? Had my eye on xx4 since the video board will be in view as well.

I have season tix in QQ. Great view of the jumbotron and field. JMO. If you go more towards PP and inward, then the video board gets behind you and it's difficult to see it.

I'm in ZZ-14 for three this year. Can't really complain about them but they are nothing special either. My advice would be to choose somewhere where you can see the jumbotron and if you want a good view of the field, surprisingly enough the key is to not go too low in the lower bowl. I prefer the first few rows of the upper bowl anywhere that I can see the jumbotron

West side in the 25th row on the 50. Doubt you can do much better than that.

Pretty much every seat in Neyland is good. I would try to avoid sitting in front of the endzone with the jumbotron so you don't have to turn around all game. I believe Section A is where the visitors sit and their band, so you'll hear them if you're sitting right there. The great thing is that even the top sections are really good in Neyland. Just yell loud on defense and you are good.

Let me know if this is something you're interested in, but I have 4 in D and I'm looking to unload them, roof over your head, 50 yard line, tv for instant replay at eye level. For a first game in Neyland I would sell them cheap. I attached a view from my seats below.

As most have already posted, there are no bad seats. Some are better than others though.

I've sat in lots of places so I will tell you my thoughts.

Lower bowl sidelines are great. Either side is nice. As some said, avoid section a, and this is only because it's a visitor section. Too low can actually prohibit you see all the field clearly. Too high in lower bowl will prohibit you seeing the jumbo tron, but you will have a tv overhead to view the same stuff.

Corners and end zones provide a unique and surprisingly nice view of the field.

Chair back seats are worth the money. My rear is larger than the 14 inches of seat they sell as are most fans.

GG is also infested by visitors.

Side line upper deck in the lower rows will provide a great view too.

Concessions are best on lower bowl between Q and X if I remember correctly.

Have fun wherever you decide to go.

I try to stay away from PP

Chair back seats are worth the money.

Truer words were never spoken. My whole family are small-ish people, but the extra leg room and ability to lean back and/or prop your arm on an armrest are glorious.

They typically cost $3 (yep, $3 whole dollars) more than the bench seating.

Please note there's a section (about the first 10 rows) below the chairbacks that are bench seating. So, if you wish to sit in the ZZ chairbacks, for example, avoid row 7, etc.

Correct, the chair backs actually start on row 13 of the ZZ sections

I had never sat in P before, but did for the Florida game. The view was fine, but the students have about the first 25 rows, and stand on their seats the whole game. So, if you get a ticket in P, get used to standing on the bench seats.

Girlfriend and I sat in XX4 for the Florida game and loved it. Decided to go with XX3 for Missouri to see how I like it a section close to the middle!

Still trying to get used to the non-student life at the games. I miss getting rowdy with the student section!

There really isn't a bad seat in the house.

edit: from a view standpoint

Chair backs are nice. The atmosphere in the lower bowl is so much better to me than in the nosebleeds. I like the corners of the end zone opposite from the jumbotron.
