Exactly, sure is fair to compare him to Vandy which he is 2-2 against iirc.

Fair to compare against Missouri, Florida, Georgia and his record against SEC overall.

LWS are you hearing about the shouting match between Shoop and Butch? There is so much disorder on this team in year 5 it's unbelievable. Please tell me someone in the admin doesn't think this is acceptable, after Saturday's loss. What do you think it would take for them to tell Butch to pack his bags?

brent venables hasnt become a coach either but he knows what a championship culture looks like as he IMO is what turned the clemson program from good to great

Same can be said for the recieving core. Also, he grew up a lot after that pick 6. The pass to Wolf was a beauty. When QD sets his feet, he deadly accurate.

Did Currie not extend Butch after last season because he didn't win the division? If so, that would be telling to the record Butch is expected to achieve this season....

Doesn't mean that happened or didn't happen - just that if it did, not sure why such a big deal.

No body is telling Butch to pack bags anytime soon See how things play out this season.. way too early for that to happen.

Coaches Fulmer and Chavis had many a knock down drag out verbal fights calling each other various names. Coaches argue all the time. It is pretty normal.

Coaches are going to disagree on strategy, who plays, practice drills and particular plays. It is not unusual.

Coach Majors cursed coaches out all the time in front of the team and some cussed him back.

Any dust-up that occurred will be forgotten by Saturday

It's in the RF that Shoop and Butch basically hate each other and Butch has hamstrung Shoop where he can't run the defense the way he wants to. I believe it too- look at the personnel decisions! I'm sure Butch is micromanaging that like he does everything else.

The longer you wait, the more hurtful it will be to the program long term...

With the amount of talent coming in, this is the perfect time to fire that moron botch and hire a proven coach like chip kelly or bob stoops

instantly a 10-11+ win playoff contending team


When will it be time to fire botch? once the team starts going 7-5 every year, recruits figure out he's a moron that cant coach or develop talent and start transferring/decommiting?

I guess it's noticeable that I personally want Butch gone after this season😊 The writing is on the wall for me, he is the worst gameday coach I have ever seen. Many of our games are disordered, chaotic, frantic comebacks to try to win, personnel decisions that are questionable, bad clock management, etc

Clemson is managing talent and developing.

Butch has been a disaster with his roster.

Would he struggle with this talent? Tennessee has had some very solid, top 10 recruiting classes the past few years. This talent just needs some development and most importantly, leadership. With the team we had last year, a coach like Venables would have more than likely done what Jones didn't, win against SC and Vandy and finish in the top 10

We are dealing with one very smart AD in my opinion. It's like watching an episode of game of thrones. The guy wound up the gears and sat back and watched them spin. We're all going to be bending the knee by the time this is over. He's playing it perfectly.

Indeed, it doesn't take long watching team 121 to see that the talent level at UT is average at best, but that may not be the case come November.

Will Vol fans only wish for average come November, will Jones be written off as a coaching failure by the fans?:eek:hmy:
