Where is Nico likely to land?

“wHO KUrs?”

Apparently you bozos do with your worthless chime ins. It’s a legitimate question to ask considering what’s happened in the 72 hours.

If y’all truly don’t KURR don’t comment in the thread.

Quit Sunday morning acting like yall above it.

Now go on, get!
Yes, it would be exceedingly easy to just not open the thread. But some people really care a lot about looking like they don’t care.

UCLA has plenty of money. They have just decided not to spend it on football

Honestly, what is the last time they were even relevant nationally? Late 80s when they had Troy Aikman?
1998 was the last time. They were undefeated heading into conference championship weekend, but they lost a nonconference game to Miami that kept them from playing us for the natty.

Don’t really care where he lands, but I do hope he can recover from a situation where I think he’s being poorly advised by people or family that don’t see or understand why he’s not worth $4M presently. I think he’s just been led to believe he’s an “elite” college qb when he just isn’t, yet. His camp has jumped the gun without realizing how much leverage they don’t have.

I don't hate the kid, but from what I've heard, he's got a bad combo of terrible influence and some personal stuff. Throw in millions of dollars at 20 years old, and craziness is almost inevitable. He's talented, but I'm thinking this will end up an awful mistake for him.

I got a weird feeling there is going to be some stuff come out in the next month or so about the shenanigans Nico and Co pulled here

I don't think much of it will paint them in a very good light honestly.

Oh well.

Life will go on. Kind of glad the whole ordeal is over and thankfully it was very quick.

Idk. I do think team Nico will try to sling some mud.

Kind of surprised so many rival fans have actually even sided with Heupel. Pretty much everyone views Nico and company as a bunch of greedy bastards.

If that happens quite a few big time UNC donors will be upset. They already didn’t like the HBC hire, it was done behind closed doors that weren’t supposed to be closed, if you know what I mean. All of this is going to be very interesting for sure. Just happy we are out of that mix now.
I can vouch for this. MANY in the Rams Club are upset paying the coaching staff over $10 million that includes Belichick’s son.

Lots of people saying Fresno St, UCLA, SD St, etc.
I'm not sure any of these can afford the 2+ mill a year to get him.

My bets are Colorado, tOSU, Indiana, USC, TX Tech, or some other P4 with some deeper than average NIL pockets.
Notre Dame and USC Trojans have both said they don't want him.

Yes, it's going to get ugly for TN I'm afraid. I heard a national radio show yesterday where two former NFL players talked at length. Lavar and TJ (don't know last names). Lavar was siding with TN and TJ was trashing Heupel's system and said promises were made/broken to Nico and family. TJ claimed to be close to the family.

Because everybody is beginning to hate the free market unlimited free agency version of college football. Eventually it will change, but this current system is terrible.

I think Nico will drop down to somewhere like San Diego St, Fresno, or UNLV and only make $500K to $1M.

Too much baggage for a big-time program with a top-notch AD and rich donors.
I could see this happening for this season and then he bounce to a bigger program for a big payday the following year. His reps are going to have to hire a PR person to pump some sunshine in order to ever get a big payday in CFB again.

I could not care less where he plays or even if he plays anywhere. Maybe he could go to work for his Dad or agent, the people who got him in this mess.

Personally, I hope he gets no offers from the larger schools. However, greed and the desire to please fans with wins makes that very doubtful. I'd love to see him go to some rinky-dink college that pays him nothing.

Whichever school that takes him, will be looked upon as as helping to downward spiral of the NIL. I certainly won't be rooting for them!

This is all about money, so he will land wherever they will pay him the most. Texas tech would be my guess..
