I could see UT getting into a bidding war with FSU here. Will be very tough, especially with the perception around Currie/UT.

There is so much vitriol and uncertainty (by some), about Lane, the Sumlin supporters are willing to pull the trigger because we don't see any movement by Currie and company toward Lane. Bottom line, we don't want to miss out on Sumlin if there is zero chance on Lane.

If someone can provide some evidence that the administration is amenable to Kiffin, please provide it.

Sumlin would be a good fit at UT. Assuming he has a mitigation provision in his A&M contract, and has no other offers, he may not have much choice but to take a good offer from TN, unlike coaches who are employed.

Not going to AZ State. Not going to replace Brohm at Purdue. Jimmy Sexton client. Way more palatable candidate than Doeren.

Just read that Sumlin is the next target. I'm not really to excited about it, but what other options do u have. Also, just read that Peyton was on board with the hire of Schiano and he was vetted everything came back clean on this guy. Peyton spoke to Bill Belichick and he agreed with the hire and also Shciano had a great staff already in place for this team. This team is going to pay a big price for the actions of a lot of the fans. I understand a lot of u are passionate about this program and I understand, but sometimes u have to let the AD do his job that's why he is getting paid.

Yeah, well we tried it their way and their way didn't quite work out.

With the level of high school football talent in Texas and with the Longhorn program in the tank, Texas A&M should have been competing for the National Title the last five years. Sumlin did less with more than any coach since Les Miles.

While I would not mind Lane Kiffin with Phil Fulmer running the show I would say the chances of that happening are little to none.
