Where is Kevin Sumlin?

He fizzled out already at an SEC school.

Sometimes failure can be a great teacher. Remember Bill Belichek failed his first time as a NFL head coach. Same with Pete Carroll.

Coaches are sometimes like players. A change of scenery can do wonders.

I don't think hiring Kevin Sumlin at another SEC school guarantees failure.

:)

I get that but man, I would rather they shut the football program down at LSU before they hire someone like Chip Kelly or Sumlin, its not even football. Each his own, I would rather a HS coach. :)

Do you realize you have cheatin O as a head coach? No worries probation headed your way soon. BTW, LSU has always been my 2nd favorite team and always loved goING to games there bit seriously, Sumlin is a much better coach than Orgeron.

You'll figure it out just like it took time for TAM fans to figure it out - its fool's gold.

Hire the Missouri coach, cost half as much... same stupid football.

That's fine. This admin deserves a pile of s*** given how this search has been conducted. We'd be lucky to get fool's gold.

If this is the route we are taking, then offer Tee.

I didn’t mean in the sense that we need to hire an African American coach, I just didn’t know if we ever had before. I’m good with Tee or Sumlin, slight edge to Sumlin because I know what I’m getting. I just don’t know if Tee is ready yet for the SEC as a HC.

I will take him all day over the names that our AD is currently sifting through.

But you are not writing the check and in a few years you'll be complaining as you are right now. The reason he was fired is pretty obvious to me, and no it wasn't Chavis's fault nor the previous defensive coordinator.

Gundy, Kelly, Sumlin... the cat from Missouri, the Texas Tech guy... switch them around and throw them in a bowl... it doesn't matter... same type of football. If you want a few wins in the East, they can probably give you a few of those by year 2 you will start to realize... hey, this doesn't work against the good defenses. Then by year 4... you'll be blaming the defensive coordinator... than by year 5, you'll actually start watching the game and you'll think... maybe this offense isn't so great... by year 6.... you'll be calling for the head coaches job because you just realized you been sold fools gold.

At this point he is a credible name which will help keep recruits...and possibly bring some back.

Big picture...he does a solid job, but not a great job. By the time that is determined, Tee will have the necessary experience.

Pretty sure Croom was the first African American HC in the SEC, period.

Someone correct me I'm wrong.

Yeah, that is why they got stumped the last two years... because he is so much better.... and one of them is when LSU fired their other coach.:eek:lol: The games weren't even close.... like watching a scrimmage. The only other team that is worse is Missouri... same stupid crap.

He doesn't play real football, all you have to do is watch the game.... it might be flag football.

Sumlin is the 2nd best flag football coach in the US, #1 is probably Kelly.:eek:lol:

Have you been under a rock a missed the massive **** show that’s been going on??? After what has transpired since Sunday, Sumlin wouldnt be a homerun but he would damn sure be a 2 base hit. Just moments ago Currie was going to STRIKE OUT

Maybe he is just waiting on a call? I would kill for Sumlin.

At this point... I agree.

My favorite Sumlin moment... Spurrier is at SEC Media days right after Sumlin has inked a 6M per year deal. The media asks Spurrier what he thinks about Sumlin and his deal. Spurrier responds, "I don't know much about Kevin Sumlin, but I know he's a helluva negotiator."

Let me get this straight... Sumlin knows the SEC, recruits exceptionally well, has beaten Alabama, is available and develops qbs well. He may not have been any of our first choices but he'd be a steal at this point.

Sumlin - Head Coach
Tee Martin - O/C
Kevin Steele - D/C

that's my vote!!!

Those are lateral moves for Tee and Steele and they probably wouldn't do it unless offered enough money. However, I agree if we could get all three I would probably have a heart attack. Plus make Fulmer or Blackburn AD. If these things happen it would be one of the best Christmas presents ever.

What are your major grievances with uptempo, spread, no-huddle football, besides it not being "real football" I.E., "I-Formation, three yards and a cloud of dust" football?

You seem to have a real vendetta against no huddle offense, man. :eek:lol:

Has nobody paid attention to the slide Sumlin has had at A&M since Johnny football is no longer there. It has been a downward spiral. I guess if you are looking for 7-9 win seasons take a shot.
