I would support Sumlin getting the job...He could recruit great here...The man has talent and I think he could turn it around here quickly

Rather have Les Miles than Sumlin..... I think either would be a huge upgrade, but I think miles has a more impressive body of work.

Not really, other than his flag football will work more often in the East vs. the West. Why not go after the Missouri coach, probably could get him for half the salary... same crappy flag football.

I support Sumlin! 10x better than others we have offered... WTH why did we offer NCState coach over him anyway?

Kevin Sumlin is a better version of Coach Jones... Both really good friends and runs close to the same system... It's not a bad hire... But for sure not a great one... Seems to crumble under pressure...

Probably the best we can do and better than Doeren.

Granted we all would like a proven 10+ win a season HC with Power 5 experience. But that isn't happening. Outside of year 1 at A&M Sumlin is averaging about 8 wins a season at A&M. Doeren's best year at State was 8-4 in the ACC. His ceiling at UT would likely only been 8 wins.

Taking this year out of the equation we could be having an even swap from Butch to Sumlin, minus the slogans. But at this point it's probably the best we can do and hope his ceiling at UT is higher.

Atleast his A&M squads were fun to watch. With the exception of the heroics of Dobbs Kamara and company that is more than Butch can say

Muschamp was "failed" at Florida - nice work at South Carolina.

Sumlin has no buyout for sure.:good!:

I think Sumlin would be fine. Much better than Butch. Hopefully, we are not being used as a pawn to try and get him the Arkansas job.

I enjoy it when they play LSU every year... fun bunch... you put the W in the W/L column at the beginning of the year... just make sure a few LSU guys show for the scrimmage. Easiest game of the year, other than if Missouri shows up on the schedule.
