Hahahahaaa... thinking of how p**ed his wife must be. I know my wife would just want to be able to go out for a nice dinner. ... nope.

Maybe,... maybe he's just working like heck. period.

here's hoping.
It's tough to hear, first thing in the morning, "You again???" !.

Pretty sure that unwarranted extension he gave Pruitt was a vote of confidence.

And Fulmer isn't going to say anything that this fan base hasn't heard for going on 20 years now anyway.

Work like heck, difficult circumstances with the virus, tough schedule, young team, long rebuilding job from previous coaches, magic dust, throw game, turnovers, better execution, i know what championship teams look like... blah... blah....blah.

It's all just a big, putrid word salad signifying nothing coming out of this football program anymore.

You think there’s something he could say that would calm the masses right now? How exactly would that script read?

"We are excited about the new direction Coach Freeze will be taking the Volunteers and look forward to competing for championships again soon.

Without further ado, I present the 27th head coach of the University of Tennessee Football team, Hugh Freeze. "

Our AD has been MIA for months now! Does this guy even come to work? Why hasn't he made any statements regarding the condition of the program and give the dreaded "vote of confidence" to CJP? Nothing. Just crickets. You'd think that OUR AD would at least try and calm the masses down or at least try to deflect to basketball season. SOMETHING! Fulmer (like Pruitt) is in WAY over his head and needs to be shown the door before the next coaching hire is made. It should've been Blackburn from the beginning. WHY is it always a struggle for this university? It's mind boggling.

Whole thread aged as well as the OP. 😏

Well there you go! "I've got the dreaded rona..." "but don't worry... I'll be just fine. I know ya'll were very concerned". Nothing screams narcissistic like an official letter about your asymptomatic "illness". Good grief.
BTW... I'd like to announce that I've had the bleeding roids since the 2nd half of the UGA game... But don't cry for me, I'll be fine once the tucks pads start kicking in!

Good candidate for Stupid Post of the Year right here! And it’s late November.

Watching the tape and seein' what happened, and workin' like heck to get better.

In other words, exactly what he has been doing since 2003 or so.....absolutely nothing.

“Coach Pruitt has my support.”
Then we know the wheels of change are starting to move.

Well he could say, “we are working like heck” to get this season turned around. Probably worth a million per year?

What does the virus have to do with anything. The virus did not affect UT any differently than any other SEC team. That is no excuse for poor coaching.

Part of me really wants to believe that our AD is sending a message with his silence.

But then also, we see that he signed his contract under the radar, and he's not out here discussing that extension he gave Pruitt.

So I don't know maybe instead of sending a message he's just being cya. It's just too hard to read.

He couldn't and OP knows that, it's just something else to fuss n complain about. I guess he ran out of things to say about CJPruitt.

Saying things during times like this as AD is only going to make fans more angry. If he supported Pruitt, fans would be mad. If he deflected, and tried to talk about basketball season, fans would also be mad. The only thing he could say which wouldn’t make fans mad would be stating that this years results on field are unacceptable. Which he would never do.

I am not saying the virus is an excuse for poor coaching.

I am saying that Fulmer and Pruitt will use it as an excuse for the struggles of this team to cover the poor coaching.

You really think Fulmer is worried about calming the delusional, irrational Legion of the Miserables who feel that they are way more important than they really are. Give me a break, Fulmer doesn't care about a few old women and their concerns about the program.
They are aware of it and wish things were different. I guarantee it.
