What about the hotels in Dunwoody (atl perimeter center). Several there where 285 and 400 meet. There is a MARTA line very close it seems but might be what a 30 minute marta ride?

I'm sure that is good as well, I'm just not as familiar with that area. I rarely venture out to the suburbs but, yes, it should be a 30 minute MARTA ride.

Is this different than the lenox mall MARTA?

It is different but they are very close, there are a few hotels walking distance to Lenox MARTA as well. Should be a good choice.

Four of us will be traveling down to Atlanta for the UT romp over NCST. Anyone have any input on a good place to stay? I'm looking at Double Tree by Hilton in Marietta. Any good info on where I should stay that is still open would be appreciated.

be careful of some of those dumps near the ga dome--a lot of lowlife hang around there.

Don't stay near the Dome if you like not getting shot, raped, or generally harassed.

I'm staying near airport and taking marta to the game. Avoiding traffic and Hilton is a very nice spot near airport. About 238 I believe a night for suits. That's where I'm staying

When I go to Atlanta, I usually stay at a hotel near the Cobb Galleria Mall. Ive stayed at a Hilton and the Renaissance Waverly hotel. Both very nice places to stay. The Hilton was around 87 bucks a night and I think the Renaissance was around 100 a night.

I'd go a little further up like Midtown or anything north of ATL, near Buckhead, Cumberland Mall. Maybe not as convenient but a little safer.

Stay wherever. I mean, hey they're just like the rest of us right? What's the big deal with rape and robbery? They're just like us, right? Atl is an awesome city. Bring it.

I stayed at Renaissance Waverly which is a Marriott chain. It was 99.00 for new years eve when Tennessee played VT. We got there and it was a 1star price with 4 star rating. Bad thing Frank Beamer and his Hokies were staying there too and would have been greater if I was a VT fan. If I go back to Atlanta I will reserve a room there again.
