They also try to avoid same conference rematches in the first round, especially if they’d essentially be back to back games between the schools (see Alabama and Georgia last year and Alabama and Georgia in the 2017-2018 season).

TCU has a better resume and better record than OSU. Heck there is an argument that OSU should be #5 below Alabama.
