Please help, I am looking at purchasing season tickets. I want to be able to see the jumbo tron. What is the highest row you can sit in the lower level that will allow you to possibly be a few rows under cover, and allow you to have full view of the jumbo tron???????

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP!!!!!!!

It depends on which section you are in. Go to Virtual Neyland or google "virtual neyland". A seating diagram of neyland stadium will appear. Click on a particular section. It will show you an approximate view and also list additional seating information for that section. Some examples of info it lists are: where the cover starts if it is a lower level section, whether or not it is in or near a visitor section, if you have a view of the jumbotron, and at what time of day you will be in direct sunlight. It's a pretty neat tool. I've always used it when buying tickets. I'll be watching the Vols this season from section H Row 54....near the band and student section and 2 rows under cover

I appreciate the info very much! Your seats are great! You will be near the students (loud and enthusiastic), under cover, and be able to see jumbo tron, right?

If he is under cover in that section, he will not be able to see the voltron. The only under cover seats that would really have a view of the voltron would be on the north side of the 20 yardline (this is guessing). But seriously, if you are undercover on the lower deck, you more than likely won't be able to see the voltron, especially if you are on the south part of the stadium.

does anyone know if you can see the whole field if you have seats that are really close to the press boxes in either gg or qq

Unfortunately, I believe I will not be able to see the new jumbotron. The view of the field looks pretty sweet though. I hope I can see any replays on the tvs they have under the overhang. Oh well, as long as I'm inside Neyland I'm happy. Sept. 5 cannot come quick enough

assuming that you are sitting in section R or further north, including the equivalent sections on the east side of the field ...

the "drip line" for the upper deck is about at row 46. meaning that in a gentle rain you may stay dry but in a blowing rain it will hit you. iirc you can still see the jumbotron up to about row 50. so if i were trying to stay in the dry but also see the jumbotron, i'd shoot for around row 48.

i used to sit on row 55. it was nice in the rain, but overall i didn't like the "enclosed" feel and the speakers right in front of me.

I went to the Kentucky game last year and we had perfect seats. Sec. U, row 47. Just under the overhang(good since it was raining) and great view of the field and jumbotron! :dance2: We saw Phil go out in style!

these comments indicate that the "drip line" is going to be different depending on what section you are in, which makes sense given that the upper decks were added at different times. so what i said about section R/S/T/U/V may only apply to those sections, not the equivalent ones on the east side or more towards the end zone.

re the QQ question: i used to sit in QQ about 16 rows up. seats were on the goal line. because of the height, i didn't find it a problem overall but detail at the north end inside about the 10 yard line was somewhat compromised (but remedied by binoculars).

Not to be confused with Hangover....

A hangover (pronounced /'hæŋoʊvɜr/) (veisalgia) describes the sum of unpleasant physiological effects following heavy consumption of alcoholic beverages. The most commonly reported characteristics of a hangover include headache, nausea, sensitivity to light and noise, lethargy, dysphoria, diarrhea and thirst.

Most UT fans with be carrying one of these around after the Vols shock the world in Gainsville in a few weeks.

Symptoms are not accosicated with seating position inside the stadium.
