Where Do We Really Rank, Not by Heart or Blood

Do you mean this year, or over the past couple of years. I think we're a 15-18th place team at best. We have a young secondary and some young receivers. We have a bright future if we can get them developed during the offseason. Obviously you can't be too pleased when you're program that's supposed to be competing for NC's and SECT's is struggling at times to make a New Year's day bowl. Saying that, just look at Nebraska, Miami, Notre Dame, FSU, etc. Every school is going to have down years, but in order to be considered elite status, you have to rebuild back to the top.

We are in the Clemson, Wisconsin, Penn State second tier level now. The 15-25 rank, hoping to get a New Years Bowl each year.

Gentlemen, sad but true UT NOW owns NOBODY! Not even Vanderbilt.

I'm afraid with our stagnant 30 year old offensive system we are defined by how much talent we have on the field. Our 3 to 5 (4 to 8 yard deep) passing scheme along with the mundane 4 or 5 running plays have long since been figured out. After all if Coach Les Miles (a.k.a. Coach Dumb) can figure it out, it's indeed a sad day.

I my opinion, UT will not be so LUCKY next year & will be where we rightfully should have been this year...THIRD BEST IN THE SECE.

Sad, yes but not that hard to figure out & honestly it's not that hard to say if you approach it realistically.

Do we? There's not one of these teams we wouldn't be an underdog to, and rightfully so, if we played em tonight.

I do not agree even a little bit. As bad as we might be, PSU and Wisconsin are atrocious.

hard to say.. beginning of the season we were over rated. now I'd say between 10-15. We'll never know with this BCS model. We're not top 10 material, but I'd say we competed with one of the best teams in the nation last night.

I'm unbiased..

UT ranks in the top 15. The vols are a few key players and O-line away from top 5 though. I feel Georgia is in the same situation, but Stafford is starting to show signs of a great qb. The BCS ranking system is so jacked up that it is not realistic anymore.

I'd like to see the vols go to a spread offense instead of this rhythm offense(as I heard described in the SECCG).

If done right, you don't need a huge line.. just athletic and mobile. Take a look at Texas Tech's setup. I think Tennessee would shine with this type of O. I think Ainge would excel in this style as opposed to the one dimensional short pass game that Vandy damn near shut out.

>>>>we run a pro-style offense. Like an NFL team. That's more attractive to college players than you know.<<<

Yeah, but it's sad when our highly regarded (joke) "pro-style" offense only executes 10 to 12 different plays throughout a Championship Game. The bulk of yesterdays play calls, were you guessed it, our typical m.o. plays of simple, predictable, routine short 4 to 8 yard dink passes. Most of todays premium high school players want something more exiciting. And I do not feel our Staff can develop "average" high school players against more progressive & innovative SEC Coaches.

Our Offensive System is 30 plus years old!! Dating back to Walt Harris...furthermore Fulmer's is afraid to hire anyone component enough to change it. Now that's the scary part.

you guys absolutely do not own kentucky. we should have beaten you the last couple of years. karma will come around soon. and karma is a b****.
Are you drunk already? Look our team this year was ok. The defense was mediocre. You had your best shot this year with a good quarterback. We own you and will continue to own you. Come to think of it, we will own you in basketball this year too.:eek:lol:

Ha, 7 national titles in basketball. UT cannot lick UK's chops in basketball so don't go there. Tubby was a ****** coach who let Lofton out of Kentucky. Gillispie is going to bring in a top 10 class annually and we will win a plethora of national titles in the next couple of decades.

Gardner Webb "Runnin" Bulldogs. Good job of representing the SEC.
