Where did the season go?

The disappointing thing is that the A & M, Vandy & USC game were all winnable games. It wasn't like we were in over our heads.
Had we won those games, we would have played and lost to Alabama twice and would end the regular season with two losses to the top team in America. A great bowl game would come out of that scenario for us and we would be optimistic about bUTch and optimistic about 2017 season.

The Negas won't miss football at all.. they'll find something else to continue building the misery in their lives. Like calling for Barnes' head or something..

While the pumpers get stoked over our awesome 3* parade of a recruiting class.

You never disappoint. Only trick you know huh?

You may want to check the game thread today where I predicted we would roll up Nebraska because Butch has shown to be good at getting our guys ready to play in bowl games.

But I'm sure you'll just ignore it because it doesn't fit your "fade is a big negavol" narrative.

Honestly, I don't feel like this season was as much fun as some in the past, therefore seeming longer than most. Probably because of the terrible start against App State, I felt uneasy the entire first half of the season. Then we dropped 3 in a row, SC being one of those, and that's when I kinda fell out of football mode. I felt so unemotionally attached by the Vandy game that it really didn't bother me as much as it should have.

I really think that App State game ruined the season. As much as I enjoyed finally beating Florida, that game just put a weird funk over team 120.

Nope. He's actually exceeding expectations and the BB team appears to have a bright future.

Just keep on apologizing for Butch. You'll be ok

How can someone not like that Georgia finish? One of the most iconic plays in UT history. And that Fla. second half beat down.

Even a bad, underachieving season is better than the next 8 months are going to be, imo. Offseason sucks.

Anything to call out a fan to disagree with you huh?

the difference to me is Jones has taken a clearly more talent (or even talented team) and lost games he shouldn't each year and the team looks sloppy.

Barnes is taking a clearly less talented team, playing good ball and coming up just short. That lets me know it will or at least should come around.

With Jones, I cant say the same. There is a lot of positive but also a lot of negative and his PR blunders do not help his case. We will see if he figures it out next year. At some point he has to beat someone he shouldn't other than USC in 2013.
