I know that the thread title will be juicy bait for smarmy responses but seriously, doesn't time fly during football season? It seems like only a month ago we were getting ready for game one. Yet, here we are about to wrap up another season later today. Another long spring and summer full of debating over the same topics lies ahead of us. The never ending war between the negas and the pumpers will pass the time. The only thing that they will be able to agree upon is they both miss football. So, despite whatever your feelings may be on the results of this season try to put any disappointment aside and enjoy this bowl game. It's going to be a long time until we get to watch another Tennessee football game.

Season went by quick. I hate that I'll miss the game today due to work. Would have enjoyed watching Dobbs last game live.

Replay of the A&M game was on yesterday (same time as 98 Ark game was on another channel) and I was thinking about how much promise this season had as that game started. 7 turnovers and a bunch of injuries later, the wheels were loose and ready to come off the wagon.

Looking back, there were a lot of positives including: comeback and win vs a good Va Tech game in Bristol -- the UF game (2nd half anyway) -- the UGA comeback and one of the greatest plays in UT history to end it -- the fight the team showed in College Station -- being the CBS 3:30 game four weeks in a row -- the class of Josh Dobbs and Derek Barnett -- the energy of John Kelly -- the fight in JaJuan Jennings -- Neyland Stadium -- The Pride of the Southland Band -- Cam Sutton coming back for Sr year and then fighting to come back from his injury (unlike quitters who didn't quit soon enough) -- Rocky Top, you'll always be Home Sweet Home to me!!-- Never falter, never yield.

Season of missed opportunity. Should be 11-1 with a playoff birth, but instead Butch wet the bed like 6 year old jacked up on Mountain Dew at a sleepover

I remember waiting all summer after spring practice when Cobb and "Mr. Hell" (Webb) were waiting to be unleashed.

Man, has time flown since then. Seasons seem like they last about 6 weeks.

There it is.

You seem suprised?

Ill rant about my doubt in the coaching staff on the net, but I think like most reasonable fans, it all takes a back seat on game day.

Would have loved to made the trip to NOLA, but when you know you are watching Dobbs and Barnett for the last time, does the name of the bowl really matter?

All we have to look forward to after today are:

meaningless Internet polls,
over-analyzing everything that has to do with UT football,
crazy off-season declarations,
and trying to figure out exactly how many media outlets hate UT.

No,I'm not surprised at all. I actually expected it and was getting a little worried it took so long. I thought VN was slipping.

The Negas won't miss football at all.. they'll find something else to continue building the misery in their lives. Like calling for Barnes' head or something..
