You still didn't answer my question about Jesus saying' before Abraham was, I AM'.
Now Jesus said that not Paul!

Jesus being begotten of the father has rights to the family name and “status”. My son is also Smith. But he’s not me.
Jesus was claiming status in relation to G-d. Not that he’s G-d. His statement was still considered blasphemous

Look at Crush getting all butthurt and going all straw man.

Before I continue I really don’t care what you think. I really don’t care if you agree with me. I do this for my own growth and benefit. Convincing you isn’t my job. At times I’ve believed a lot of the things you teach. But I’ve unlearned and grown past most. I’m still hopeful to learn new things so I continue to test myself. So here we go.

See big? When Paul said that Christ, being God, humbled himself... Slice can't take Paul at his word.
.

Paul calls Yeshua ELOHIM not YHWH. Big difference
And I agree with Paul.
How about you stick with what you believe because you clearly don’t know me.

When Paul said not to let anyone judge you about days or feasts, etc... That they were the shadow and Christ is the reality... Or that they law was a ministry of death, incapable, and meant only to show us that we can't keep it...

This is just dumb.
Paul was talking to new believers who were coming out of paganism. They were just learning the law and sabbath. And they were catching flack for it. When he says Don’t let people judge you he’s talking about Don’t let people judge you for keeping the law.

Later Paul goes to the temple and takes a Nazianzite vow to prove he’s not teaching against the law. That can be found in acts.

Slice can't take him at his word.

When Jesus claimed to be the son of god in a special way, such that the Jews of the day, in his culture, and in his own language, recognized what he was doing... When they knew he was claiming to be equal with god the father, .

Straw man at its best.
I absolutely agree with this. Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. The one and only. The beggoton with all the rights and powers that come from being the unique Son. The Jews believed this was a blasphemy as they didn’t believe he was Messiah.
Jesus isn’t claiming to be YHWH. He claiming to be His Son.

Slice can't take Jesus at his word. Maybe it was Jesus fault. Maybe Jesus was just the worst communicator in the history of the Bible since they were always trying to kill him for claiming to be god.

It's a waste of time. Just be quiet in the pig pen with the rest of us and let him go.

Jesus said,"if you don't believe that I AM you will die in your sins."

We will each stand alone before him.

I absolutely take Messiah at his word
I’m kinda surprised how much of an authority on me you think you are when you actually didn’t know anything.

I’m also surprised what a judgmental pile of **** you proved yourself to be with that post.

All because I seek the reality of G-d and not the fairy tales.

Sad really.

Shalom.

Very godly response preacher.
I’m sure those on here you are supposed to be reaching are very impressed

Probably a bit more reserved than calling someone a ... was it a "judgmental pile of ****"?

Or are you merely saying that you expect Christians/preachers to be kinder than Messianic Jews? If so, I appreciate the compliment, but would disagree with you as I have actually met many other Messianic Jews.

(And for the record, in case you thought otherwise, I wasn't calling *you* the pig. Other than that, I'm not sure what you found so offensive about the reply, but will apologize nonetheless.)

Yes you were and that’s ok.
You are the typical preacher who read some things you disagree with and came out swinging. 90% of what you said about me was wrong and you got personal.

Now your surprised by my evaluation of that post?
I’m still surprised by your post.

And I believe that’s check mate

I don't know about that. What did Jesus mean by this?

John 14:8-14 (KJV)
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Slice, I apologize for offending you or appearing to have made it personal. That wasn't my intent.

Mainly, I was trying to let Big know that you seem to deal with scriptures far differently than we do. You and I have been around this mulberry bush a couple of times. I saw no profit in Big's energies, told him so, and why I believe that.

Again. I apologize for offending you, and specifically the way I phrased it. Having posted with you for quite some time, I didn't think the pointed nature would offend. Obviously it did, so I humbly apologize and repent.

You stated a bunch of things about me that weren’t true and called me Antichrist for it.

So you’re forgiven for that very sincere apology and doing nothing in your mind.

Seems appropriate right now.

Yes you were [calling you a pig] and that’s ok.

No. I wasn't.

You said earlier, while dealing with another Christian per these same beliefs that I espouse, that you were taking your pearls and leaving, in effect calling Christians such as us pigs, so I sarcastically answered accordingly to your "peace" closure.

You'll notice my references to Big and I in the pig pen earlier as well.

I certainly do not want to be disagreeable in our conversation, nor do I want to be unkind or rude. if I have come off that way I do apologize.

This does not say Jesus is YHWH.

I don't believe I ever called you antiChrist.

I did quote scripture as I (and the fullness of Orthodox Christianity) interpret it. I'm not saying that because its orthodoxy makes it true. I am saying that if you're cool with posting your interpretation of Biblical truth, but uncool with me doing so...

Well, I still regret that I hurt or offended you.

And in my defense, I said little more than you and I had both said earlier. We will each stand before Him on our own.

And I clearly said I don’t own pearls later.
I never said I was throwing the pearls or who the swine was. It is simply a statement that means we’re not going to agree and we were getting nowhere.

I would not call anyone a swine.
A judgmental pile of excitement in response to an insult........sure. But not a swine out of nowhere.

You may see now why I answered your question about traditions the way I did.

I apologize for missing your later reference per pearls.

You all clear that I didn't call you swine? (Nor would I call an observant Jew a swine, ftr... Maybe tim the in Serve and Protect thread... lol)

You quoted scripture and gave my faulty interpretation of it that wasn’t close to accurate.
The accusations of willfully distorting or twisting the words of Messiah are not what I’d call friendly.

I’m sorry
Your sorry
Everyone is sorry.

Let’s just forget it.
