Do you believe we have a creator, aka "God"?

Salvation is simply a matter of the will, will you repent? Will you believe? Not can you but will you? Jesus said that men loved darkness more than the light because their deeds were evil!
Forced love is rape but God is a perfect gentleman!
The question that your eternity depends on is what will you do with Jesus?

That's cool. I don't share that belief.

It's not that I don't have faith in God, I don't have faith in the men who penned the bible and I absolutely do not have faith in those that edited it. It's called the King James version for a reason.

If you can read Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic (which I cannot), the consensus is that what we have in todays Bible is extremely close to the original manuscripts. I have more of an issue with the synods (I think that's what they're called) that decided what to include and exclude that give us what we have today. Since men have put things in, taken things out, and possibly edited it, that gives opponents room to poke holes in the divinity of the text. A shame...

I agree with most of this, but I believe my original point was to disagree with the assertion that those who do not keep the law reject God. Your bringing up the adulteress before Jesus is a good example. He was being baited into breaking the Law (because the punishment is death by stoning) but still outsmarted them based on love and compassion. If anyone had the authority to mete out the punishment pescribed by Torah it was He, but he did not. Was He rejecting the original law? No, I believe he was setting the example of the New Covenant He represented.

Edit: If I mischaracterized your position, apologies to you.

You are fine my friend. I hold no Ill Will to those who either don’t understand me....disagree with me.....or other. All I ask of people is a sincere search. If your conclusion is different than mine I’m ok with it.

He did so within the law using the law as it was intended by G-d. The law is not evil. It’s a blessing to those who love G-d.

WUT? You can't read Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic? You must have went to UT.......

It's the "man" in the equation that brings doubt in my mind. I must wonder if Jesus had said "piss on Rome, don't give them anything" instead of "Give unto Caesar", would that have made it in?

As for the OT I think most of the authors of those texts were trying to explain the unexplainable and provide rules that promoted good order and health for the people. Along with being a loose accounting of history.

I appreciate your honesty and respect your opinion but, I really believe God gave us his word and preserved the word he gave while using holy men of God to do so.
If we believe the supernatural it really isn't that hard to believe!

Have you ever done a careful study about the different Bible versions and how we got our English Bible?

I can believe that God gave us his word, then man perverted it.

My lack of faith is in man not our creator.

I talked to the Lord today, I have a personal relationship with him. I know Him, He is my Lord and my Friend! He has answered many prayers and has been a great provider of my needs.

You may scoff all you like but it does not change the fact that He is alive and well and lives and works in the hearts of his people! Just as I have a relationship with other people I have a relationship with my Lord!

It must make you feel pretty special to think you have a personal relationship with the God of all creation. The ego longs for this sort of validation.

I really hope that you all don't think that I am just trying to be argumentive, I really do love to talk about these things! It's what I am!
I may not agree with everything you all believe nor you with me, but I do genuinely care about everyone of you. I definitely want to see you all in heaven and we can finally know the whole truth of this matter! One thing we can definitely agree on is that without Jesus, you won't get to heaven! At least the Christians can agree!

I do feel very special, but I know my God wants that relationship with everyone that has ever lived or ever will!
