This may not be the right time to start this with all the NSD mayhem reaching a fever pitch but I thought this would be an interesting thread:

If you have a link or any news of a former recruit we were in on that we didn't get(i.e. scroggins, dawson, wright, ambles, etc) post it here. I'd like to see which ones over the years we wish we would of gotten or ones that didn't really set the world on fire.

Robert Griffin III - Guy even has a VN screen name. He at least looked into us.

Scroggins signed with and now transferring from USC I believe

Dawson signed and played well as a true freshman for USC

Wright played as a true freshman for auburn and did about as well as a true freshman DT. could do

Ambles is a constant headache for kiffin, was suppose to transfer to GA southern, but not sure if that happened

Wow! I haven't heard the name scroggins in forever. Do we know for sure that he transferred? I think we won with bray!

Where is he transferring to? Also, what's up with jeff luc? Is he the fastest twitch lb in fsu history or what?

Orsen charles is going pro, and brandon willis, last I checked, was back at unc but looking to transfer out again..

Let's also get an update on jose jose!

I did have a Jose Jose burrito from tomato head yesterday. Delicioussss. But yea wasn't he at Miami or something?

Jose Jose, ha! let's never forget Jose Jose. Surprisingly, or not, there are multiple people named Jose Jose that come up on a google search. Looks like Jose Jose the football player, and not the singer, got arrested and released from his scholarship at UCF.

Bruce Irvin played DE for WVU and is projected to be drafted in the top 3 rounds of this years NFL draft.
Christian Jones started LB for FSU and had a good season.
Tahj Boyd started QB for Clemson and looked really good at times.
Je'ron Stokes went to Michigan and has now transferred to Bowling Green, hasn't accomplished much at this time.
Kimbrell Thomkins started WR for Cincinnatti and ended the season with 44 receptions for 536 yards.
DT Shackelford at Ole Miss looked very promising in 2010, but tore his ACL last year and missed all games.
Josh Nunes has backed up Andrew Luck and is probably the favorite to start next season.
Michael Taylor saw quite a bit of action for Florida this season.
Brandon Willis has been back and forth from UCLA and North Carolina, not sure if he has even played in a game yet.
Anthony Johnson played in every game for LSU this season.
Calvin Smith for some reason signed with New Mexico, but has now transferred to Purdue.
Demarco Cobbs is at Texas, played last half of season after missing first part with a broken arm.
Ahmad Dixon played in most of Baylor's games this season.
Eric Maclain is at Clemson, not sure if he saw any action.
Delvin Jones signed with Ole Miss, but has been released from the team.

Scroggins riding pine at USC...rumored to be transferring. Nick Montana struggled at Washington and is transfering to JUCO in Northern Cali, Heaps lost starting job at BYU and transfered to Kansas. Brunetti left BC and went to Ole Piss. Struggling imo. Nukeese is a greeter at Costco in Syracuse New York. Mike Edwards is starting at Hawaii. Janzen is in the clouds!!

good update - i believe Maclain redshirted last year - he will likely have a shot this year to compete - their junior TE is going pro

The two guys who always stick out to me on Saturdays are Sam Montgomery & Eddie Lacy.

That Kiffin year I remember there being a lot of hoopla about them on signing day maybe picking us.

They are both very very good players where they are at.


Also will never forget the Dre Kirkpatrick commitment. Dont know if we were even a player but that was the same year and he kept pulling bags out of bags out of bags, then finally had this really stupid Alabama flat bill. Dont know why but that one sticks with me.
