After going tight lipped, 1 man operation, how all of the sudden is every move that JC is making known? How are the figures of money offered known? How are the next candidate up stories known?

A couple of thoughts,

1. False news from media who don't know?
2. JC has done a 180 and wants total transparency? Doubtful
3. There is someone within his inner circle who is sabotaging his efforts? If so who, and why?

Thoughts??

Feldman is pretty much on top of it. Don't know how. He quickly debunked Hyams premature post a few days ago.

It's brilliant marketing and works kind of like a pre-launch.

Builds anticipation and keeps eyes glued to the news and social media outlets for updates.

Because Currie didn't interview a single coach in the two weeks between Jone's firing and the Schiano fiasco.

Fire Currie.

Ban Haslam.

After Schiano, I could see #2 being a pretty realistic possibility actually. Not sure Currie would be that smart though.

Maybe Currie is checking the pulse of the fanbase now before pulling the trigger. I still say needs to be accountable for this fiasco of this search. Blind sow may have gotten an acorn in SPITE of Currie/Davenport/Haslam.

I won't believe it until I hear it from Hyams.. Scratch that.. Feldman.

There weren’t any leaks before Schiano because there were no other conversations other than Schiano. He was the only option and it’s only because Haslam thought we’d accept anyone the AD hired that he even let Currie fire Lyle.
There were no talks with Kelly or Mullen or any other person. Haslam told Currie he could fire Lyle as long as he hired Schiano. Currie went and told everyone he was gonna do an exhaustive search but wouldn’t need a search firm. He didn’t need a search firm cause he already was told who he was hiring, and a search firm would’ve vetted Schiano as a no go. So Currie fires Lyle, say around for a week pretending he was looking, then he went to the Bahamas for a week letting everyone think he had locked up one of the top names that weren’t currently coaching(Kelly Or Gruden). He gets back and sends word to have everything ready for a Sunday announcement and then Sunday morning someone catches wind of what’s happening and leaks it before things could be finalized.

Neither Currie nor Haslam wanted anyone to know because they knew the hire wouldn’t be popular, but also thought that if they could get the paperwork signed and done before anyone knew no one could do anything and we’d just accept thebgarbage they gave us after telling us we were gonna get gold.

Leach will tell them where they can go and what they can do when they get there. Let's pray Currie is there soon. Maybe Ms Davenport needs an education on the football religion of the South. If she won't attend the class then she needs to go too. Lewis grizzard used to say "delta is ready when you are" to northerners who did not want to be here. Wise man

So what about Currie saying if we didnt hear it from him dont believe it? Because it seems like every time we hear about these so called deals, they fall through. The common denominator here is, Currie hasnt come out and said anything.

The real answer is that there was no news to be had. Currie sat around for months just waiting for Schiano to finish out his season at Ohio State.

99% of his coaching search consisted of marking the days off of the calendar until last Sunday.

The more I have thought about it, I’m afraid this is what actually took place. He may or may not have made a couple of phone calls, but it sounds like he did not really intend to interview anyone else. smh

I'm still not convinced that those are not 2 teams. One is not going to let Haslam choose the coach by failing to sign documents, changing documents, or leaking information -- whatever it takes.

GO BIG ORANGE!

The only consistent rumor was thatvUT already had their guy.
He would have been wide to leak that early on.

Listening to 104.5 this morning in Nashville and they said something about Currie didn't even talk to Sumlin. I think there's some disinformation out there and nobody is bothering to deny it.

I'd love to think that the administration is doing what they can to push back against Haslam. The behind the scenes intrigues, cloak and dagger drama in smoke filled rooms, shouting matches, power plays...etc.

From the articles I'm seeing posted here, one that is disturbing is that the administration tied Butch's hands on $$$ for assistant coaches. Granted, Butch probably couldn't have pulled it off anyway, but articles like that show that people in high places don't have a commitment to winning football. More like they are just stuck with it. I could be wrong.

Regardless, all 3 have egg on their face now.
