Where are the "just beat Florida and happy" crowd now

I am here checking in ! Just got back to West Tennessee after a disappointing game and still support this team! Beating Florida and Georgia this year with all of the injuries we have is nothing short of a miracle. No way could we or many other teams in the nation played with Bama yesterday. get well and finish strong !!

Don't know if I'd say it's impossible. Thinking back to the 2007 season when a two-loss LSU made it to the title game.

Parity could run wild and leave 2 or 3 one-loss teams and a pack of two-loss teams behinds them to get that 3rd and/or 4th slot.

Look guys ,considering where this team was three short years ago I for one am ecstatic. I would love to beat that cheating ,toothless bunch and maybe at close to full strength and more experience by the end of the year maybe. But our boy's looked tired yesterday and when you are forced to go three deep at a few positions , even they couldn't beat a top team.

Hopefully when it comes down to it, if we did somehow beat Bama in the SEC Championship, they will look at Bama's routing of Tennessee and realize how beat up we were at the time.

I'm here. I knew we would lose vs bama. That's fine... The huge problem is we are too banged up to win the East now. Sad...

Our DL, OL, and LB spots are ruined.

Love the optimism Iam4, but let's be real here......there no longer is a realistic plan to get to Tampa. I think we're on Plan B to Atlanta, which is win our remaining 5 games and wait for Florida to lose again.

I'm still around. UF was my "must win". I wanted to beat Bama but am realistic regarding our talent levels / coaching. I still think we make it to Atlanta, too...which was my goal for the season.

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to see the game yesterday but obviously it wasn't the outcome I had hoped for. So right now we're 5-2, with losses to 2 Top 6 teams. We just went through one of the most physical and emotional stretches in my life for UT football. Playing without numerous All SEC caliber players.

Now like all of us I wish were were 7-0 but the appreciative part of me thinks back to where we were 5 years ago and how I'm so much happier watching UT football and the product on the field. Getting blown out by Bama sux but it's not the end of the world and hopefully we'all win out and get to Atlanta.

Cheer up Vol fans, we could be being led by Derek Dooley

If your only goal was to beat UF with this team then your mediocre hooray for 2nd place trophy mentality would fit in perfectly with Vandy.

The goal was an SEC championship appearance, still a possibility but not within our control anymore.

Just beating an undefeated Alabama in Atlanta won't get it done. We would have to be ranked high enough to vault into the top 4 which would likely bump an undefeated team out of the top 4. Not impossible but it is highly statistically improbable.

I hoped we could go 12-0, win the SEC, go to the playoffs and win the NC.

Realistically, with something I have no control over and my confidence in the staff, I decided I would be okay with No less than 10-2, beating Florida and a trip to Atlanta.

I still have some football left to enjoy.
