It was mostly directed at the people who were just crapping on other people for the last 4 weeks who were just trying to stay positive all season despite the fact (like myself). Those same negative minds who were crying because they were expecting us to magically go 8-4/9-3 who then when we won were all like Yaaaaaaa, I sure do love my vols by golly, Pruitt is awesome #1 best coach, yada yada, go vols. I deeply dislike people who talk smack non stop about a team they are supposedly fans of but you're entitled to your opinion so whatever but what I'm not cool with is when those people feel the need to drag other people down with constant negativity simply because they aren't satisfied or are just crotchety people in general. That really goes for anything by the way, not just sports. Then when the W comes in they pretend that they were supporting the team the whole time. like...come on man. That's literally the definition of fairweather and when I call them out in a generalized post they try to give me hell for it? nah. Though to be fair I was fairly hyped from the win then I hopped on here and the first thing I saw was someone degrading the win because Auburn sucks,etc etc and I snapped. If I offended anyone earlier and you're reading this now I genuinely apologize. Go Vols and I hope we compete against Bama.

I think not abandoning the run kept Auburn’s D honest and allowed for the passing game to be effective.

Auburn is still a solid team in my eyes. Tennessee was better today. It's been a long time since a non-cupcake game could be talked about that way.

If I didn't miss on a game , I would live in Vegas and not have to go to work every day. I did not think they would beat Auburn , but did think they would improve over the course of the year and win some of the last 5 games . This one was sweet

I’ll gladly eat crow. I predicted the score to be 45-13 auburn. The coaches did an excellent job of preparing the team and they had a good game plan. The turnovers helped(ask Florida about that) but we forced those and a dropped td pass helped a lot also.
They were prepared, played hard and earned the victory. I’ll take it all day but when we underperform and get our butts handed to us because of it I’m gonna call it out too.
Still way to many runs on first down but it worked out today. It WILL NOT work next week but I’m going to enjoy this win over a top 25 team all night tonight as should we all.

Wouldn't surprise me if the staff had done more of this in previous games if the guys had executed early on like they did today.

Have said it over and over. This team has not been taught fundamental football skills in 4 years. This team has not developed in the weight room. This team has had no work ethic. All of these things are cumulative. The losses have been bad but fundamentals have improved weekly. If someone came in to learn how to do a backflip and could not ...maybe you teach them to do a front roll first ? That is what we have been seeing , a coach starting at the base and working upward with steady progress that has not shown up on the score board until today. I think improvement will continue throughout the season and will only get better with successive recruiting cycles. Despite some folks beliefs you cant just tap the X button faster or call mystical plays or just teach football in a couple of weeks.

I mostly agree. We did hit a big one on a first down toss though. I would like to see play action on first down just a little more (keeping in mind I'm a hillbilly guitar player, not a football coach).

That’s the thing I don’t think anyone is so nega that they can’t enjoy a win like today. Most of us are Vol fans no matter our perspectives...whether we see things half full or empty...

I can't recall the last time I've seen UT's WRs fight for catches like they did yesterday. That was awesome to watch! They were high-pointing the ball all day.

One of the recent practice reports said the coaches spent an entire session working on nothing but high pointing. Heck, I'm just excited we worked on anything and the players executed like practice.

if you have watched this team every Saturday and seen them improve every week , that is something to believe in .

I just took it as Vol fans that see the "glass half empty" situation. Pretty common in life and never bothered me.

Not a true fan is the one I don't like.

Always thought 'sunshine pumper' for a positive poster was bad also. "Sheep" being the worst if all.

Yea, I don't care for any of them, but negavol seems to be the silliest, to me anyway. I think because its so misused and can be so broadly used. I don't know, and it doesn't really even matter cause it ain't going anywhere. I think it would be more appropriate and more interesting to replace it with crybabies. Lulz.

Yes I’ll gladly step up and eat crow... I never said Pruitt should be fired, just that he hadn’t shown me anything thus far... he showed me something yesterday and I’m thrilled.... on a side note why is it that the so called pumpers come out and bash the so called negative nancies and demand them eat crow when they finally hit on one? I mean I haven’t seen you guys eating crow the other 500 times you’ve been wrong. Anyway I’m here to eat some because I really didn’t see us winning an sec game this year... I’m very happy to be wrong.

I freely admit I did not give us a chance against Auburn. I did not think our o-line could handle their d-line. I was wrong. Credit to the coaches for not letting the bye week go to waste. Obviously they coached their brains out and it showed. It feels really nice to be a winner again. To break all those streaks (SEC losses, SEC west losses, SEC away game losses, etc). I also feel optimistic we can make a bowl now, something I had no hope for just 48 hours ago.

I THINK I figured it out yesterday, just had to scan back over the last 2 weeks threads. A few had predicted a win and were ridiculed fairly heavily.

Disagree on the no crow for the other side. I've seen plenty of "where are the ____ supporters now" type threads. "But we were told" is a very common OP phrase from both sides.

Well either way I was wrong about this game and I’m very happy to be wrong about it. Also like I said Pruitt gave me something none of the last coaches ever gave me and that’s a little hope for the future.
