Where abouts of Gerald Riggs Jr.

What ever happened to Gerald Riggs Jr? I hear him occasionally on Sport Talk in Chattanooga. I don't think he ever made it in the pros. Just curious how he is paying the bills these days.

I seen him the other day at D1 in Chattanooga.

I seen him the other day at D1 in Chattanooga and talked to him for a few minutes. he told me he was currently on the Cleveland Browns practice squad and making some good money.

I checked the net and NFL.COM does not show him on any roster (active, practice, or IR) in the league. Also, I checked the Browns site and he is not on their practice squad.

I knew an ex-UT offensive lineman who went on and off pratice squads. He would get $10-20K each time. He did if for a few years while he sold insurance.

So may be Riggs was on for a bit...

That injury his final year must have been costly. So much potential. Of course he did get big headed when the media blew him up after the SECCG vs Auburn. He started looking for big plays only.

I saw him last season. He was standing outside Cool Beans after the Vanderbilt game, demonstrating a juke which he apparently saw Montario Hardesty do. He seemed to be in good spirits.

A friend of mine said he was at a party at an apartment in Red Bank and Riggs was puffing the hippie lettuce.

He was staying with his Mama last I heard. And he goes to church on Tunnel Blvd (by Sheperd Hills apts.) occasionally.
