So guys who pride themselves of "in the know". When is Kyle gonna get out of the 45 and take a shot with another driver?

Bobby has done his best so far to get the 43 competitive again. Back to 25th in points to start next year on a good foot.

Alot of teams with 3 car teams have so much better of a shot during these races. The 45 has left the 43 on it's own for most of the races.

I'm surprised that Kyle has hung around this long to be honest.

I just don't know who they could get to drive the 45. The #45 is special to Kyle since that was supposed to Adam's car, so that's probably why he's not just going to give it up.

i was going to type that same thing when i saw the thread title. had it not been for the incredibley untimely death of his son, he wouldn't be in the car right now.

and he has raced a lot of the season without sponsorship.

I know, but time to move on. I really like Kyle and what he stands for, but it just seems that the 43 is out there by himself for the most part.

I would really like to see the 45 consistenly(SP) being competitive. Not a back of the pack all the time car.

I know PE has been on the decline and hiring Bobby was a start. And that is all it will be until they can get both cars doing well.

They've got some good people there at PE, even with Parrott bolting back to Yates, but they're still so far behind. It's actually sad to see their shop after you see the other top team's raceshops. Roush, Hendrick, Gibbs, TEI etc all have sprawling complexes, then you go up to Randleman and see two Petty Blue, tin-sided buildings in the middle of the woods. The difference is staggering. They're just behind on everything.

I wish he would go to the TV booth, I have always enjoyed his commentary when he sits in! IMO best since Neil Bonnett died!

Well Kyle said this season if they could find the right person, he'd give up the #45 seat. Petty Enterprise has really upped thier program over the past couple of seasons. Bobby did about as good as you can expect with what he's got to work with this season. The ten million dollar question id who would they get to drive the #45? There is a great driver coming up through the USAC divisions named Levi Jones that I think PE should look at getting him into as many Busch races as possiable. USAC is the best place to find the stars of tommorow. That's where Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Newman, JJ Yeley, Tony Stewart all came from. Tons of talent and they adjust to the stock cars faster than most.
